Nice ... Security problem needs to be fixed quickly. +1 from me for the fast reaction.

PS: I also have my pet-bug growing on me. And I feed it a lot ... it's getting hard to get along with him. I am talking about the webfonts messing up bug

Wow! That is fast reaction on an vulnerability - thanks!

Windows 7 64bits

Mouse gestures doesnt work when performed over an empty workspace. (the gray screen showed when all tabs are closed and "allow empty workspace" is selected)

In Opera 10.10, one could use the mouse gesture "new page" to open a new tab when there was no open tabs. (aka. empty workspace)

Can someone confirm this?

How do I tell Opera to use "slight" freetype hinting type under Linux?
It's set system-wide, in /etc/fonts/conf.d/ and Gnome and KDE system settings, everywhere!
The ONLY application which does not use system antialiasing settings is OPERA.

Opera crashes when visiting a web page with DivX plugin v2.0.2.39.

Windows 7 x64.

The speed in the Linux build is fantastic here - really responsive on the desktop and laptop. Fonts look great on the desktop, but not the laptop [openSUSE 11.2 on a Dell Latitude D400, 500MB RAM, no KDE/GNOME] with FreeSans. I've just tried changing the font to Liberation Sans in gtk-chtheme and the rendering is better. But I don't know why.

SVG audio doesn't work - is this known?

It's been like that for quite a few builds already. I assume it's a known issue, just a low priority one though.

Pieter Van NuffelMuts Wednesday, April 28, 2010 3:00:43 PM

linux issues, compared to 10.10 (kubuntu 7.10, kde 3.5):

-right clicking and using the scroll wheel does not change the tab anymore (and also does not show a menu in the middle with all current tabs)
- putting an url into the X 'copy and paste' memory by simply selecting it, and middle clicking on the body of an empty tab does not make opera go to that url anymore

So these are regressions, I would love these 2 issues to be fixed. smile

While i'm using FriendFeed, it shows the main page which stored in the cache first and after 5 seconds, Opera shows the last updates. It doesnt search and show the recent updates at the start, i should wait 3-4 seconds at first.

Anyone confirm? This problem is available since ver. 10.10

Not here. There are three ways to search Wikipedia in Opera; which way are you using?

nice will check it out later today!

Oh and I forgot, multitouch seems to go much more smoothly. Somehow much better than the final yesterday:yes:

Of course in the search bar. Otherwise there wouldn't be any problem. But If I use another element (eg. google) and then type somethin in and chose wiki. It crashes not everytime, but everytime I restarted Opera, it crashes for sure. Not a that big bug, but the big bugs have been fixed, leaving out the big youtube-issue.

EDIT: I mean the search bar on top next to the adress bar. And I'm talkin of the mac version.

Luchio Wednesday, April 28, 2010 3:18:40 PM

woah... 10.52 will be short-lived!

Wouterwouterb Wednesday, April 28, 2010 3:19:18 PM

Very nice, but why do you keep bringing out new RCs without fixing all the problems of the previous ones? I have had this bug: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2010/04/16/evenes-mac-final-rc?startidx=50#comment24850882 since the first RC for 10.52. Could you please fix it? Thanks.

Works fine here. Using Ubuntu 9.10 x86_64.

It also has a side-effect: you can no longer double-click a word and select "Go to Web address" and actually have it go to the address version of the word. That was one handy feature. Now it Googles the word. Sigh.

Agreed, this should be changed, given there's already a "Search..." item in the context menu. "Go to Web Addr..." should send it as a domain request, not search.

I don't think this has to do with the fact that opera searches from address bar now. If you select the whole domain, right-click and select go to web address, it works. It doesn't work, beacuse when you double click, it only selects part of the domain, from and to dot. It doesn't select the dot, and the rest of the domain, and therefore the selected part isn't a domain, and it searches. So it's a bug that the whole address isn't selected. At least that's how it is for me.

Poor interaction between View>"Zoom" & "Fit" to width" control when viewing oversize (larger than browser window) images. You have to tap Fit to width several times to get it to work.

Also this version hangs on exit sometimes (process won't exit).

Here it does not load the videos. It doesn't crash Opera but freezes it for a few seconds.

Win7 x64, Opera 10.52, only the 2 tabs opened.

Hm, perhaps I should really update to the upcoming kubuntu 10.04. I'm a little bit behind (for various reasons).

So you say the right click & scroll wheel tab changing also does not work on your machine?

Nice to see such rapid security update response from Opera team. other vendors should take cue (esp. Apple)

On another note, This is the slowest build acc. to peacemaker slower than 10.52 and 10.51. Not worried too much know just wanted to point it out.

What about the Logitech horizontal scroll bug? Why is this still unsolved :-( I need that option :'-(

Problem in M2 attachment adding by drag and drop doesn't work if I drag something, only image drag and drop is working

My bugreport about new opera skin, it looks perfect, but I have some visual problems with it. I'v tried to find out how to fix it in skin zip file but with no luck...

Here it is:
1 - panel switching button should be osx native like button 4 - add new tab

2 - when panels on left or right and toolbars set to wrap to multilines, active button become ugly, if you have odd toolbar buttons - active button become more-more ugly. In opera 10.10 thats was fine

3 - navigation buttons and images toggle button has different sizes, dont know is it should be native or like navi buttons, but size should be equal

5 - same things as listed above - with fit to width and many other buttons on panel should be native or larger sizes
