Thanks for the fast fix to the security issue!!

cybpsychdsync Friday, April 30, 2010 8:38:51 AM

second Luca: big thx for the quick fix (and RC1 to try out) before going final.

request: please fix/look into the RSS Update Frequency/Interval bugs. I have 150 rss entries and cannot set each to 5minutes (automatic or manually change index.ini).

thx!

Kjell R. Jørstadjoerstad Friday, April 30, 2010 8:55:21 AM

At home 10.53 crashed all the time with on my iMac (both clean install and upgrade). I thought that it might be an issue with the synced files/settings (Opera Link) so I installed 10.53 on my macbook - synced my settings, no issues there. It works like a charm there but not on my iMac eek

BTW! On my iMac 10.53 and 10.52 were also really sluggish, but not on my macbook.

Both Macs are 10.6.3 (Intel)

Kanay Friday, April 30, 2010 9:03:15 AM

Hello and thx for the quick fix, since 10.10 it seems impossible to execute those kind of commands via contextual menu :

Item, Custom=Copy & Execute program,"C:\Tool.exe","C:\work\combined.txt %c C:\work\%c.htm"
or
Item, Custom=Copy & Execute program,"C:\Tool.exe","C:\work\combined.txt %c C:\work\%c.htm" & Delay, 6000 & Go to page, "file://localhost/C:/work/%c.htm"
or
Item, Save It=Copy image address & Execute program,"C:\PROGRA~1\Wget\wget.exe", " -b -o C:\PROGRA~1\Wget\last.txt %c -P C:\Work"

All this was working perfectly in all previous versions until 10.10 and doesn't work anymore since 10.5, am I missing something or it's just not anymore supported ?
Thx guys

Alexeylexa77 Friday, April 30, 2010 9:10:13 AM

Hi to all!
Help me, please!
Worked with Opera 10.10.
Decided to upgrade (not to do clear install) to Opera 10.53 and I did it!
Fine!
But there are two things why I rolled back to 10.10:
1)Can`t change the skin;
2)My favorite widget "Test For Spy" doesn`t work with Opera 10.53.
Maybe I did a mistake and I need to do clear install?

or .55 ! can You imagine it with even more bugs fixed ? wink

I still have problem with scrolling pages when start bar is visible - its very slow (high cpu usage). Win xp sp3 x86

and by the way - it would be super nice if notification of new email would redirect You (when clicked) not only to M2, but also to the message that was on it.

Have yet to try it, but I think it should be known that they are spamming the FB Group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2205031654 Flood and SEO posting.

If it didn't work on 10.52 it doesn't work on 10.53, there are only four tings fixed, so no suprise. But you didn't state what isn't working, and if it's been all over the forums, than don't publish it here over and over

I'm running OSX 10.4 on my tired old G4 PowerBook. 10.52 was very painful to use, so I was delighted that 10.53 was released after only three days. I'm back to enjoying the normal Opera speed.

Bela Lubkinfilbo Friday, April 30, 2010 12:15:05 PM

Ironic -- the Opera 10.53 download page is busted in Opera 10.52 build 3370. Here's what it looks like with normal settings and with Fit-To-Width turned on.

Windows XP SP3 x86_32, rather vanilla setup.

Edit: looks exactly the same with 10.53 build 3374 (as expected).

Scrolling to zoom? - no, it doesn't work (but does in Firefox)

10.53, XP Pro SP3

Ah, thanks. I chased it down to opera:config#UserPrefs|MinimumFontSize (Preferences -> Advanced -> Fonts -> Minimum Font Size). Settings 15 and lower are fine, 16 and 17 (and I assume above) cause overlap.

Edit: DSK-296769.

Hey folks, mouse gestures in Opera 10.52 and 10.53 don't work on my PPC G4 Tiger Mac. Also, keyboard shortcuts are tardy. For instance Command T opens a new tab but with an annoying delay. Any Idea if it will be fixed soon?

BS-Harou Friday, April 30, 2010 1:25:43 PM

Follow today, this week or next week?

YuriSamLab Friday, April 30, 2010 1:32:10 PM

If you copy / paste text on the forums in Opera 10.xx - the last lines are hiding outside the form to the message and an arrow down do not appear - have to press Enter a couple of times and then remove the spaces

I tried it before. Don't help. After that I get again only int. and localized version. "Classic" - not in list. That why I'm asking here.
