Saturday Snapshot

It's a rainy Saturday here in Oslo, so it's a good opportunity to release a snapshot.

This build contains quite a few fixes. Various crashes have been fixed, as well as some Dragonfly and scope protocol issues. We've also been working on some RTL/BiDi things.

There's good news for Linux users: Java should now work again!

We've also added the ability to show suggestions in the search field. You can try it with Wikipedia and Yandex for now. The address bar and find bar have also received a few fixes. You will notice that the search field in the page find toolbar flashes red when there are no matches, for example. Single-domain intranet servers will now be stored in Opera's preferences rather than relying on the typed history.

Just select wikipedia in the search box and try to type something in the search box

Logical bug in search field in Speed dial:

Since this build there is selector in this field, but you can add/use/store only one SE to this field at the same time, so there is items to select, it always will be one search engine.

Since there aren't a lot of new features I would like to concentrate on few very small issues:
- when I have custom panels opera always starts by expanding them no matter what their previous state was, this doesn't happen if I don't use bookmarks as panels.
- in some menus the radio buttons and checkboxes have remained the same since older opera versions like in the right click menu of any page in "Reload Every" and the right click menu on the tabbar "Tab bar placement" and "Customize". They should be native or/and skinnable.

Opera hangs up/freezes on Delete private data.
Ptobably, it's because my PC is too old (iP4 1.6 GHz, 512RAM).

Just found two regressions:
- clicking on a browse for file (Choose) text field/button immediately opens up the browse dialogue, although I find it useful it makes pasting the path to the file impossible.
- clicking on rss feeds popup doesn't open the feeds.

OH YEAH! party thanks, thanks, thanks a bunch! and WOW search suggestion! will use it on my production system, the last build was stable enough, so.. p

And seriously talk about some mighty change-logs, Voice on Windows, Java on Unix and oh don't tell me to count the number of crash fix. bigsmile

MS mice horisontal scrolling is still not working (and as I saw - never worked)

bug1: after opening "View" menu 2 cliks on page needed for focusing on the page

bug2: after rightclicking on flash banner, begin problems with functioning of left and right mouse buttons. for example clicking on the close-tab button or open-tab button are not working till I press somewere right mouse button.

Logical bug:

In preferences I disable «Enable thumbnails in Tabs», press OK, but when I'm going to context menu of Tab bar I see V near this menu item, instead of that I disabled it before.

One more logical bug:

In this build user can't remove Find in page search, because it hard coded and button «Delete» is disabled, but when you synchronize your searchs via Opera Link, this search (Find in page) can be deleted automatically and regullar user can don't know how to restore it.

when i right click on Google docs spreadsheet opera context menu appears instead of Google docs ones......


edit : Google docs document is not working even after clicking "identify as Firefox"...
when i do this it says unsupported browser when i click "identify as Internet explorer" left side menu controls are not working but when click "identify as opera" every thing mentioned above works fine just Google docs document is not working....
any one confirm

I would like to report a bug. Here is Google Maps V3

Click on the mark shows a bubble (infowindows). The bubble contains link: click here - click on it.

Bug: Opera 10.60 (build 3413) do not accept event onclick="return false;".

- Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer are OK.
- OS: Windows Vista.

The example is based on original sample (

this is the first i am seeing this....
when i click on mail notification that pop-ups at the bottom when we receive mails....it used to open unread tab....
but now its unresponsive even after i click 2 to 3 times....
any one confirm....
