Weekend fixes

If you find weekends to be terribly boring, perhaps this will cheer you up a bit. Here's another snapshot for you to test!

If you are on Linux there isn't that much for you here, but we're currently testing a large batch of fixes on Linux, including further font work. We hope to get those fixes into release builds next week.

WARNING: This is a development snapshot of Opera. It is released for testing purposes, and there may be serious bugs and unfinished features.

@staff: Can anyone tell me the status of DSK-287241?

chris liveravonx Friday, June 18, 2010 6:38:54 PM

For example if i go on youtubes site :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6Pd1usnTkU&feature=topvideos
In order to use the player i get the message (click to activate and use this controll.
Is it something that can be fixed within Opera?
Or its something that you must take care of it?

This is not happening from this build (at least on my PC), put Voice is not working anyway ... the Voice button is unclickable and "read" action doesn't do anything. But when the Voice is enabled Opera crashed randomly.

Presto engine version 2.6? That's really good news.
Well done Opera devs!!!

Opera 10.60 looks better and better on every new snapshot.

I too have a problem with Deviantart.com with 10.60. Hopefully it will be fixed for the final release.

Since early 10.6 builds I have an issue with Opera MSI installer... It conflicts with Kaspersky Anti-Virus... AV does not allow any program to access executable files until they're checked, but the Installer checks them too early after the extraction to temp folder, treats this as error and aborts installation with this error:

It could retry a couple of times at least...
I have to disable anti-virus every time I install new snapshot...

AndrewLow Friday, June 18, 2010 8:19:24 PM

Thank you, thank you so much for pop-up's problem!

Instead, on Windows Vista (home basic), there's a problem about voice. I mean, even though on vista I can download and install voice but when I make Opera "speak" it doesn't do anything and -bit later- Opera chrashes.

Please allow for providing own manual geolocation data or using simple external shell script which can for example ask GPS or use GSM triangulation. Please, please. It will as input take URL which ask (still user will need to confirm that data can be shared with site), and output needed data in text format.

Also please describe how to add own search suggestion, and how to customize it (disable/enable, change number of suggestions).

Opera 10.6 snapshots and beta do not run on Windows 98SE - "Failed to load Opera.DLL" error occurs.
Is it intended - support for this system has been dropped or this bug will be fixed?

See http://www.opera.com/support/kb/view/386/ - if there is a way to fix it without too much trouble, we'll try to do that, but lack of Win98 support isn't a showstopper.

It was working in build 6351, and started not working in 6363.

As far as I can see bug is on this pages, they not only have lots of CSS errors, but also many JavaScript bugs, for example:

JavaScript - http://82.193.221.213/GElin2/:

Uncaught exception: ReferenceError: Security violation
Error thrown at line 1, column 5894 in PU(Eb, Cv, AE, AA):
    A.send(AE);
called from line 1, column 13597 in registerExternTypes():
    PU(_url_dir_,"ExternTypes.ms","#");
called from line 1, column 11858 in program code:
    registerExternTypes();

JavaScript - http://82.193.221.213/GElin2/:

Uncaught exception: TypeError: Cannot convert 'browser' to object
Error thrown at line 11, column 1 in resize_end(obj) in http://82.193.221.213/GElin2/GelinShowRoom.js:
    element.style.height = (document.body.offsetHeight - element.offsetTop - (browser.type == 2 ? 3 : 5))+'px';
called from line 17, column 0 in http://82.193.221.213/GElin2/GelinShowRoom.js:
    resize_end();

I would suggest contacting with web site author.

I'm sure this is releated to http://dev.w3.org/html5/postmsg/#web-messaging
