Mark we already said that the security fixes are already implemented in the 10.6x builds!

They said here too: http://my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog/2010/06/21/new-version-of-opera-available

GreLI Tuesday, June 22, 2010 2:36:57 PM

When will you do "Turn off Opera" button in installer instead of "Installation can't be continued while Opera is running"?

I'm still having problems with Facebook Connect on some websites.

It doesn't seem to log in, it just pops up with a window titled "XD Proxy"...

oggy2 Tuesday, June 22, 2010 2:42:34 PM

Fonts still look fat and blurry here (filed under DSK-301156 previously)

Asires Tuesday, June 22, 2010 2:52:39 PM

Not good (testing).

UPD
Same speed as previous build in all tests, approved (see above).

Also, same ugly black text speeddial and bottom strip bug

from first 10.5 alpha mad

LaperuzLaperuz92 Tuesday, June 22, 2010 2:56:12 PM

Why drag and drop still isn't working? Only Opera doesn't support it.

Александр Карпинскийhomm Tuesday, June 22, 2010 2:56:54 PM

Please, pay attention on bug DSK-301040. It's very critical regression for me since Opera 10.50.

Krzysztof Hankiewiczlordmorgul Tuesday, June 22, 2010 2:59:21 PM

Couldn't get an answer from @opvard on Twitter, so I'll ask here: will KDE integration be tolerable? Because in the current state it's unbearable (at least with the Bespin style). The gigantic menus are bearable, but the tabs in preferences - awful.

Same here, and the serif font on form elements remained too.

edit: under some themes (the new Ambiance in Ubuntu 10.04 for example) menus have ugly border and separators are too thick, unlike system menus.

Ferrisferrisnox Tuesday, June 22, 2010 2:59:55 PM

You guys are amazing... hardest working browser developers!!

rasczak Tuesday, June 22, 2010 2:59:55 PM

Issue with emptying disk cache or setting it to off loses visited links on restart, issue not there in 10.54.

http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=611592

Reported as DSK-303223

Alexsable Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:01:13 PM

This and the previous build are incredibly slow on my system (Vista 32 bit), as measured at http://jsbenchmark.celtickane.com/Run.aspx .. There was a nice leap to the score of approx. 260 in 9.60 Alpha, and with these two builds it's back under 200.. awww

Arthur WilkinsonGT500 Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:01:27 PM

MSI installer still has no options of any kind during the install on Windows 7 Pro x64 (well, there's a 'Cancel' button, but that's not what I would call 'Options').

This issue not only makes it impossible to change what directory Opera installs to, but it also means that Opera launches automatically after the install, and I absolutely never want my web browser launching with admin rights. Granted I can close it immediately, but the fact remains that it should never launch on it's own like that without an opt-out.

Abhinavdecodedthought Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:02:20 PM

thank you

GMail crashes everytime I go to a specific mail directly, but I can't remember whether I have reported that before.

If I go to my Inbox then click on a mail, everything's fine. However, if I opens a new tab with the same URL Opera unexpectedly closes as GMail loads (regardless of whether any other tab is up), and I get no crash reporting dialog. It's been this way for... ~5 builds I think.

uismedia Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:09:39 PM

Opera 10.6 is incredibly slow when loading the following page http://www.mappetizer.de/de/beispiele/germany/index.html (SVG map)
The same is very fast with Opera 10.5
Sytem: Windows7 32Bit

Arthur WilkinsonGT500 Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:10:09 PM

Also, I have the Speed Dial search set to Wikipedia, and it's remembering everything I type in (which is a feature that I absolutely despise). I am unable to find an option to disable this feature. Is there a way to turn it off?

Dmitriy Kvasnikovfarmacevtua Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:10:16 PM

Still Adobe Flash Player doesn't work correctly on Smotri.com BUG.JPG furious furious

sevenred Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:12:42 PM

Actually, there is an Options button. Look for it carefully and you will see it. It's easily missed. I didn't know it was there before someone in the forum told me p

Also, http://wearehunted.com/ is unable to play songs. It has possibly been like this with all 10.6 releases, at least it has been like this for the last two builds.

10.5 handled the page perfectly.

recently-created Google documents crash Opera. DSK-303229 (not sure if this is a progress of the previous build, where they worked by the arrows produced random characters 8-P) ;-)

Please improve kde integration +1 to that what lordmorgul said

miki100 Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:37:44 PM

Very nice fixes (DSK-273325 at last!), but was there any work with pluginwrapper on openSUSE 11.3(Factory) ?
Because that bug: http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=559301 still exists.

A regression I've noticed since 10.5 [Ubuntu 10.04 i386] (this was actually fixed for ~1 build a few builds ago):
With the tab bar placed to the left, when hiding the 'new tab' button, the trash can disappears as well and dragging tabs isn't possible any more as they snap back to the first position.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Change tab bar placement to 'left'.
2. Open the 'Toolbars' tab in the Appearance dialogue and select the 'new tab' button by clicking on it.
3. Set the 'Placement' property of the 'new tab' button to 'Off' and close the Appearance dialog with OK.
4. Restart Opera.
5. Observe the disappeared trash can button and broken tab dragging.

This is particularly annoying for netbook users who desperately need vertical space and try to achieve this by moving the tab bar to the left and disabling the 'new tab' button.

I made a video to prove that there is absolutely no options button (I'm not blind guys and gals, it's not there, and the video proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt).

Unfortunately, I ran into a new problem. YouTube says I need to update the Adobe Flash plugin to watch videos, and an update did not make the message go away. I also ran the Flash uninstaller from Adobe, and tried completely reinstalling Flash, but that did not help either (and yes, I closed the browser every time while installing/uninstalling plugins). Right now, I cannot watch YouTube videos in Opera 10.60 Windows Build 3433.

I did open Internet Explorer 8, and checked to see if the video would play there, and it worked just fine. It is even playing fine in SRWare Iron.

Edit: Thanks to a comment on page two, I realized that I had plugins disabled globally. Oops... doh

rseiler Tuesday, June 22, 2010 3:44:10 PM

So let's say the History Navigation Mode 3 problem widely reported is solved (no idea if that's the case). I still have an installation here (coming from 10.5) where it not only doesn't work sometimes, it doesn't work all the time. Back-and-forth through sites always shows status popup at the bottom of the screen, indicating HNM isn't working.

What setting or condition is causing this? Can't bear to do another clean install.
