Unix fixes, stabillity, and more: Approaching 10.60 Final
By Haavardhaavard. Friday, June 25, 2010 2:20:04 PM
Although we are not quite there yet, we are starting to close in on the final release of Opera 10.60 across all platforms, including Linux and FreeBSD. You can expect a few more fixes, and we will of course keep an eye out for new regressions and other serious issues.
Keep reporting those crashes, and let us know if you discover any new and serious bugs.
WARNING: This is a development snapshot of Opera. It is released for testing purposes, and there may be serious bugs and unfinished features.

Comments with "still" may be deleted if they don’t add anything new as the issue is most likely already known, and you are probably just complaining about the same issue over and over.

Also, I'm unsure where to report this or if it would be appropriate to send this information straight to David Storey, but UPS has started browser sniffing on its online mailing system. Masking as Firefox, logging out, and logging back in causes it to work, but it appears as if on the Mac PPC builds submitting the mailing label form causes Opera to crash. I haven't been able to crash Opera doing this on Intel, but it's happened a few times on PPC. It's not entirely consistent, and the form does submit properly before crashing. I can still go back in and try and print the label.

Click any of the links on the grey table, and then scroll the drop-down list, does it show corruption? (it draws lines). If you scroll with the mousewheel the effect is more visible.

when opening a picture to be displayed and afterwards trying to type in some text, Opera crashes...
With 10.54 final problem doesn't exist, because it's stable. Please try to fix that with 10.60 final.
Otherwise, you do great stuff dear Dev Team, keep on!

1) When Opera is closed, link from email program or other non-bookmark app doesn't open the target page, only the user's home page (regression from 10.10 and earlier);
2) Print/Print Preview are broken and only nominally usable (regression from perhaps 10.50, more likely 10.10);
3) TitanTv.com type table does not appear correctly (regression from 10.53).

Not much use complaining about bugs that are already known, all it does is clog up the comments section and make it harder to spot new complaints. In any case, if you have a bug to report, you should use the bug tracker.

Of course, it would help if the bug tracker were open to the public, but alas that is not the case.

Thanks you! Impressive change log.
Nice geolocation improvments. Please include (optional, disabled by default) "host" field which will tell us what DNS name is of website trying to perform geolocation (for. Google Provider it isn't needed, or even adviced, but for custom per-site provider can be really usefull).
Please take look also on my DSK with TOTALLY WRONG parsing of altitude/altitude_accuracy.

There are many sites which have AAAA record but can not be accessible via IPv6.

As you can see even telnet connects on IPv4 address if IPv6 connection not possible and other browsers do the same. Only Opera don't do this.

For example, Opera ignores the code:
ul.links li { display: inline; white-space: nowrap }
on html > body.bugzilla-gnome-org > div#header > ul.links > li
from the stylesheet /skins/standard/global.css
(thanx DragonFly)
