Opera 10.60 goes final
By Huib Kleinhouthuibk. Thursday, July 1, 2010 7:07:02 AM
During the development of Opera 10.60 we also focused on stability, performance and alignment of all platforms. 10.60 has notably improved Javascript and DOM performance, and since 10.54 almost a thousand bugs have been fixed. Unix users can now also enjoy a final version of Opera with the speed of the new Javascript engine Carakan, and other features that have been introduced in 10.50 and 10.60.
We'd like to thank everyone for testing the snapshots, reporting bugs, and giving us other feedback. Stay tuned on this blog for more Presto updates!

Anybody already check out CPU and memory behaviour under Mac OS-X?
Those were a pain in the a.. in previous builds; can't test it myself right now, unfortunately.
Surfing with a local proxy (like GlimmerBlocker) seemed also to brain-fry Opera on a regular basis... If somebody uses that one, I'd love to read about how it works with the final.

I have to start opera manually with:
/bin/sh -c "env LANG="bg_BG.UTF-8" /usr/bin/opera"
In order to be able to write in bulgarian(with cyrillic).
I created a shell script (opera-new) and placed it in /usr/bin in order to not write that long command,it conataines:
#!/bin/bash
env LANG="bg_BG.UTF-8" /usr/bin/opera
This is one hell of a bug, please fix it,i doubt that the users will be very keen on creating scripts just to be able to write with their own alphabet.

onlsd # Thursday, July 1, 2010 8:33:02 AM
Wow thanks, in previous versions I did it in opera:config.
Cheers

You said you had fixed broken cache in this mode, great, it was extremely annoying, but hey, did you do this by removing the mode or what?
onlsd # Thursday, July 1, 2010 8:37:07 AM
Tab previews are being 'cut off' again like they were in 10.1x
This was fixed in 10.5x only to return now in 10.6x.

Please compare with Opera 10.50 and Opera 10.10 before saying 'Only'. Also, scoring points is not a goal in itself, so you would be more constructive if you explained which new features you specically want/need/look forward to.
