Opera 10.60 goes final
By Huib Kleinhouthuibk. Thursday, July 1, 2010 7:07:02 AM
Opera 10.60 has been released today! Opera 10.60 is based on a brand new version of Opera's rendering engine, Presto 2.6.30 and includes support for several new web technologies, such as Geolocation, Web Workers and Offline Applications. In addition Opera 10.60 is the first final browser that has support for the high quality video format WebM.
During the development of Opera 10.60 we also focused on stability, performance and alignment of all platforms. 10.60 has notably improved Javascript and DOM performance, and since 10.54 almost a thousand bugs have been fixed. Unix users can now also enjoy a final version of Opera with the speed of the new Javascript engine Carakan, and other features that have been introduced in 10.50 and 10.60.
We'd like to thank everyone for testing the snapshots, reporting bugs, and giving us other feedback. Stay tuned on this blog for more Presto updates!

weird, i tried it three times on my working personal directory and it crashed immediately upon loading the page. and when i opened it from another Opera instance running from a new directory it loads fine. what can cause this ? should it make difference if i cleaned the cache ? at least now it proved irrelevant for most users. platform: Ubuntu 10.04 / GnomeVectronic # Thursday, July 8, 2010 8:27:12 AM

If the page works, then start enabling each option one-by-one. If the page doesn't work after disabling all that, then try Opera-specific stuff, I doubt the cache would affect it, but worth a try, MIME types (Prefs - Advanced - Downloads) may be relevant, especially if it's crashing on download, not just when the page loads.
Further still, if it's still crashing, back-up your profile, and delete the userprefs file.
If none of this is getting anywhere, or possibly even before all that, you could try using IIXII.

On http://gmx.net it is only possible to login to GMX Mail 2010 when I set individual Site Settings of service.gmx.net to mask as Internet Explorer. Then i see the surface of GMX Mail 2010 completely, but there is nothing "clickable". Is there any solution?
Using WinXP SP3

@Topic:
Does someone has also the same problem as me with e-mails? If I like to check my e-mails I get every time an "Authentication Error". It doesn't matter which of the authentication things i choose, it doesn't work by everyone. In 10.50 it worked and in the snapshot before 10.60 also.

Main one is that [Ctrl] [Tab] quits showing me windows when I use Ctrl Tab to switch between windows.
This problem shows up on 2 machines: one running XP Pro, the other running Windows 7 Pro.
The Win 7 install was done from scratch - no previous copy of Opera had been installed. It took a couple of hours to figure how to duplicate my preferred setup but I finally got it (or close enough that it doesn't matter).
But: just now, Ctrl Tab doesn't show windows anymore. The only way I've found to fix it is to close, then restart Opera.
Anyone else having a similar problem?

For example, when first installed, multiweather is able to contact the server. After restart of the widget (not browser) it just loads indefinetely.
This problem persists for all widgets that do ajax requests with the exception of google translate.
Also there are two very annoying behaviours since 10.60, persisting in 10.70:
- Sometimes Opera just becomes unclickable. Any click anywhere doesn't do anything. I have to resize the browser to make it clickable again.
- Sometimes when I open a new page by mouse gesture the cursor is placed in the url field, if I start typing however, the key strokes are being accepted by the main window with sometimes extremely annoying effects.

I have the same problem. unclickable on site especially on youtube (with javasript). I can not use quote on this site. Please Opera solve this problem oterwise I stop using Opera after 8 years I can not work like this. I need to restart my browser over en over again to try if its gone. I have a clean install and remove all files and the problem is not solved.
Also the rendering of youtube its still there http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/1990/schermafdrukyoutubeyout.png
I have to restart the browser a couple of times to re-render the site again. Am I the only onbe with this problem? (linux-Opera) The unclickable problem is also with windows.

Also, why not post legacy Opera versions (at least a few versions) on the website.

I too experience opera sometimes "unclickable" (it is page-independent, I experienced it already on writing email in opera-mail).
solution: I right-click or select text and than sometimes it does it. It is quite annoying, but won't keep me from using opera (makes a kind of "game" using opera)
plz. fix it.
