(No changes for Windows, right?)

Jérémie Durandjeremiedurand Friday, July 9, 2010 6:05:48 PM

Is it useful to test it if we are under Windows?

Daniel Aleksandersendaniel Friday, July 9, 2010 6:07:59 PM

There are no changes on Windows (as the changelog shows).

Is anyone having customization issues.

I can't get the Clock (from Appearance>Buttons>Status) to work on Popped-up Progress Bar.
I can set it up for the web page i am on, but when i move to another tab/webpage, that customization isn't remembered anymore by opera.

Wasn't like this before, started with the last build i think.

But why differs this Windows build by 10 kb (classic installer) in download size to the previews build?

im glad to see that. but on my XP x32 last few build takes up to 9 secs. to complete, while 3363 on same pc takes 2 sec.

btw, the Acid3 rendering is not correct. The "100/100" is too close to the rectangles.

Maybe another person who packed, but it doesn't mather.
There are no fixes so don't argue about that

Hi Desktop Team.

Where International installer? Instead of it English Installer.

Not sure that I've ever hit this crasher in Linux, but I'll give it a go..

I uploaded the wrong one. Sorry about that. You will get the International installer on Windows again in the next snapshot.

I don't know if this was reported before, but it's on 10.60 and 10.70 too, whenever I try to access http://www.gameinformer.com I get this error:

XML parsing failed: syntax error (Line: 103, Character: 40)
Error:
invalid entity reference

Specification:
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml/#NT-EntityRef

100:     function search_onclick() {
101:         var searchparm = document.getElementById("headerSearchTextBox").value;
102:         searchparm = $.trim(searchparm);
103:     	if (searchparm != "find something" && searchparm != "") {
104:     		window.location.href = '/search/SearchResults.aspx?q=' + escape(searchparm);
105:     	}
106:     }

it seems the error is at line 103 in the if loop, only I don't see any syntax error there.... the site works perfectly If i reparse it as HTML, but I have to do it everytime I try to access the site, can someone confirm please?

Ampersand ("&") is reserved in XML. They need to properly escape it or alternately move the script fragment to an external js file and reference it.

You can report such issues to Opera using the Help: Report Site Problem menu item. Preferably, you should inform the site owner directly about the problem.

Update: I wrote a blog post about this error message.

If I searched for any text or link with . and , (dot or comma) after that the Ctrl+F want to search to that what I used previously.

And the searchbar can't be distinguished.

Is this bug or feature? smile

No stability problems on Mac OS with any of the recent builds but:

* Problems printing anything. Preview works and it doesn't crash but that's as far as it gets. :-/

* 30s of spinning beachball is pretty common on certain e-mail (IMAP) actions

OTOH Opera Mini runs great on my Samsung Wave and I'm looking forward to Opera Mobile going head-to-head with Webkit-based "Dolphin".

tim71 Friday, July 9, 2010 8:56:06 PM

Umm.... it looks like this KDE integration problem with Dolphin/Konqueror was solved in previous build - now I do not have to open instance of Dolphin or Konqueror before opening Opera to be able to save files from within Opera
cheers

janaco Friday, July 9, 2010 10:14:05 PM

Maybe I found a bug (reported as DSK-306644) which explains some troubles with Mouse Gestures:

On the pretty page http://www.opera.com/portal/upgrade/ when doing any "GestureUp" on the sliding div with animations this GestureUp (and only this) is ignored. So Gestures for Maximize, PathUp, OpenLinkInBackground etc. fail.

If the line in source

document.getElementById("slider").style.marginLeft = "-" + xpos + "px";

is removed everything works fine. So moving a part of the page with JavaScript (not with a Transition!) while the mouse draws the Gesture deletes the GestureUp.

Why has the default for level of auto-update automation been changed to 2 for Opera 10.60 onwards? I can understand this for betas, but not for finals.

The default for Level of Update Automation was 1 in 10.54 (Notify me), but has been changed. This is going to cause no end of complaints about force-feeding updates on users.

Opera becomes slow when Orkut's newer GUI version is opened in a tab or in background...
This Orkut's GUI is also known as "New Orkut".
I suppose that if you register a new account now to test it you will have this GUI as default.
You can see how slow it is by closing other tabs (the effect of closing the tab is like freezing) and also by watching flash videos.

Linux version 10.60, IME does not work correctly.
While using Scim/iBus, just output first word but not the whole sentence I input.
Other IME, for example gcin, is still not work "on Search bar".

It works fine in 10.10 version.

What's wrong guys?

Yeah, sometimes there are minimal changes to the core, even when this time they are not mentioned and all of the plattforms are affected.

Why not 10.61? Is there a surprise in 10.70?

I just realized that the download URLs have a keyphrase, this one being ozone. Are these just to prevent people from getting the build before the blog post is published?

At the last blog daniel said it may just end up with a security + stability update, so this COULD possibly be 10.61, just named as 10.7 to differenciate it for a while.

[Written with Google Translate] Thanks for the reply, I had not noticed this feature. But I find it a little uncomfortable. I preferred to add a button in the address bar to open the code javasript of "google translate" that can translate a page ( http://translate.google.com/translate_tools?hl=en&layout=1&eotf=1 ). Image: http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/6544/schermata15.png In this way, one click and the page is translated.

Yes it was enabled, so I tried uninstalling and re-installing Opera and that seems to have fixed the issue. I will keep ya updated if it still goes wrong.

dakingof Saturday, July 10, 2010 7:49:07 AM

Here is another issue I am having on facebook. Certain pictures when I go thought hem don't want to load!
This has happened a long time for me, it seems to be something going on with the session of opera, because when I close opera and re-open it the picture displays right away as it should.
