No improvements on that front in this build it seems. The start bar is still buggered, icons for RSS feeds, trash can and "open with" menu are still gone.

MossMan Thursday, August 5, 2010 11:47:51 AM

I have discovered some major issues with mail in the last build. Don't see anything about mail in the changelog for this one... hmmm...

First problem I found:

- changing the sender address in the mail compose window causes instant crash (I sent a bunch of crash reports through to Opera while I tried to get a certain mail sent!)

- I later limited "show messages from" to the correct account so I could actually send the bloody mail... and then my sent message showed up in the newsfeeds! When I switched back to "all accounts" it disappeared, and now it's in the sent mail - but with no message content!

thx cheers

Oh come on! Snapshots taste delicious! Especially with barbecue sauce 10.70 beta!

Kamaleshkamalesh Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:13:59 PM

Great fixes.

I've been seeing a lot of disk thrashing since the 2nd v10.70 build (mem cache=AUTO; disk cache=100M; my RAM=2G, OSX). This latest seems to be better.

Also, with the more robust HTML5 support, please take note of Gmail's drag/drop features. They're starting to leverage Chrome-only features, but Safari/FF do support drag-in now, but not drag-out...so I hope v10.70 can support it shortly.

(Or, don't tell me Google's using prefixes in the Gmail code and breaking Opera again?)

sabisan Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:14:59 PM

Thx up

Testing... bigsmile

EDIT: Start bar sometimes/randomly empty.

I think Opera desktop team must work only on 10.70 because this version is highly priority than 10.61. Working on 2 versions same time could be not effective

Namelesske Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:18:56 PM

Please tell me something about 10.61. When will be published?

Arguggi Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:19:10 PM

10.70 for me, is better than 10.61! Waits new builds of 10.70:yes:

SardorbekpROCKrammer Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:27:06 PM

no *nix specific fixes? hope 10.70 would fix all font issues on *nix'es .Thanks.

MyOpera team, please fix this!fearphage Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:29:27 PM

It is the case that opera simply doesn't support the technology. Compare this supported technology list across the browsers. Opera is doing very well but that list is not all green so some things simply won't work.

Hokkuthokkut Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:30:43 PM

thanks for fix DSK-304468 (Freeze when enabling sound in webpages) beer

porneL Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:31:36 PM

Removal of custom preview was a brave macification smile
I hope custom font requester and spell checker are next.

DmitryDemonAk Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:32:11 PM

again, not fixed, when will fix it? =\ DSK-303971 and DSK-303972

I don't get it; this is fixed: DSK-300344 (Opacity not applied to Aqua buttons), which seems totally trivial to me, whereas DSK-304207, which renders Opera completely unusable on Mac OS 10.4.11, is not. Why???

There's a cookie problem here, but only affects initial home page view. Notice the small font size. Go to bottom site < Preferences > to change to < font size = browser default >.

Close tab, come back to site and front page has forced small font again and cookie seems to be ignored.

After clicking on an internal site link (star next to headline), (font size for browser default) cookie seems to honored.

Download popup window not opening

When I clicked on today's rpm to dl nothing happened, no popup offering open or save. Save to dl folder did work

64bit Linux kde4

ps - this is better than a previous version where the the window popped up and Opera froze.

Gereford Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:45:52 PM

Thx, testing. Everyday snapshot. It's good.

MyOpera team, please fix this!fearphage Thursday, August 5, 2010 12:46:42 PM

I don't think they have ever worked on 1 version at a time. There are always 2+ branches running in parallel. While we were on the old JS engine, they were making the new one at the same time. Otherwise we'd have nothing to upgrade to.

"DSK-300083 (UI focus lost in lots of cases, causing shortcuts to fail)"

Awesome, this fixed a lot of problems! One of the bugs that has been annoying me since last December. smile

sabisan Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:08:31 PM

Is "Opera-link-sync-dialog-process" much quicker ? up

(or just a placebo lol bigsmile)

PengePenge4 Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:12:28 PM

Thanks for: DSK-295426, DSK-300083 and DSK-304468

BTW the DSK-304468 still buggy. I already can enabling or disabling, but when I enabling it from F12 quick menu it still give an dialog about download Voice Library.

That's not dsk-304468 that's another bug that's not fixed yet

Michelbudnyatski Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:14:42 PM

Please, fix the following bugs:

1. Opera doesn't suggest address "opera:about" if user typed "about", actually it's a regression, in Opera 8/9 it worked.

2. Search suggestion works only for a few sites, e.g. Opera's search suggestions don't work for Google.com, in order to enable it you have to go samurai way and edit config files manually.

Yeah, you CLEARLY don't get it. Just because YOU think one thing is important and another thing isn't doesn't mean that you are right.

Also, different things take DIFFEERENT AMOUNTS OF WORK to fix. Is that a completely unknown concept over there?

Jeffrey C Honigjch Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:19:52 PM

I'm still having problems with DSK-301905: Google Voice will not load on amd64 Opera with Ubuntu Lucid 64-bit.

Otherwise, no issues.

Lucalucaviozzi Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:22:32 PM

this build seems to be finally usable on my windows 7 64bit, i was really annoyed with all that damned crashes (10.60 official and latest test builds) ... sad
I've sent tons of reports!
Keep it going! smile

"DSK-296732 (Panel opens when Opera is loaded)"

YYYYYEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH

tim71 Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:25:59 PM

I thought for long time, that this spam killing the logs on my EEEPC was related to WLAN drivers or something else, but now I discovered, that is is related to Opera, because it starts and stops with starting and closing Opera.

arghwashier Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:36:08 PM

I don't have a menu entry anymore for opera, only the widget manager (i386, rpm, gnome mdv 2010.1)

(it seems to be hidden/not shown by default I could turn it on with the menu editor)

OperaDrBruce Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:39:50 PM

Mmmmmmm daily snapshots, I love this. yes

Silverbreaker Thursday, August 5, 2010 1:48:53 PM
