Speaking of Speed Dial layout, a bit of extra space at the top of the speed dial is still there when you remove the speed dial search field and when you set the speed dial state to 2 (read-only, removes the configure button) in opera:config.

Speed dials should shift a bit up, there's not a lot of extra space left, 10px or so, but it's noticeably uncentered especially when you use manual zoom and a manual number of columns.

And what about mail.yandex.ru? I think a lot of people using russian mail provider yandex.ru with web-interface.

Performance went down drastically when enabled Unite, though the memory consumption was not of much difference.
Disabled unite and back to speedy Opera.

Did anyone else notice this?

I suppose opening bookmarks in a new tab in the foreground is now out of the question...

(On a Mac, that is, because in Windows, there doesn't seem to be a problem opening bookmarks in a new foreground tab with a single click)

Regression, regression, regression...

I don't use feeds. But I've read a pretty large number of comments saying that feed deletion requires a restart. It's a workaround of course, until the function is fixed.

This was kind of beaten to death a few blog-posts back. It DOES update itself. However, auto-update isn't enabled at the server end for every single build (they will sometimes mention they didn't enable auto-update for this or that build...) and it's always enabled well after we get access to the new build here.

AND, the mere existence of a build, which we find out about here well before the auto-update team gets the build to roll out, doesn't magically mean that it's been put where your current version can find it, with a flag set to tell snooping browsers "hey - new build right here."

If you NEVER check this blog, you will find your OperaNext updating all by itself (some hours or days after we were notified of the build over here.)

What does that mean? I tried adding/deleting bookmarks, closing Opera, starting Opera, and the changes are still there.

New opera next is it taking a lot of time (3.. 6 seconds) when it starts.
I start with speed-dial: before it loads the speed dials and then the bookmarks.
Is it possible to accelerate these "funcions"?

I think he means that those tabs (bookmark manager tab, transfer tab, etc) won't be saved in the session. If you leave one of those tabs open when you close Opera, it will be gone when you reopen Opera.

I'm running this build on a touch-screen device (Hp-tm2). Although the build does not support kinetic zooming, which l find quite a pity, pages will start scrolling like crazy when using pinch to zoom.

Steve Taffsjtaff Thursday, June 9, 2011 8:49:44 PM

This happened since 11.11.

I use Italian for my OS language but English for Opera. I installed 11.5 while Italian was my OS. In Opera, I can change language to English, but the Italian persists in some places. For example, the script on this page for "write a comment" is in Italian, but "post comment" is not. Also, when I reply to a mail, instead of "on June 2 Joe wrote" Opera inserts the words in Italian. Most everything else in Opera is in English, where it should be.

Anybody else?

Good to know, but would this explain why the *English* version would not completely replace the Italian?

By default Opera only checks for updates every 3 days. And, as said, not all builds are placed on autoupdate.

Szőts Ákosszotsaki2 Thursday, June 9, 2011 11:56:22 PM

I see no speed dials in this build, so for me there's no progress at all, but at least it crashes every time I want to change tabs…

Edit: and also after I wanted to send this post while I stopped loading with gesture.

Reverting, maybe with the next one I have bigger luck.

> Can anyone confirm that feeds cannot be deleted?

I consider it is a feature, not a bug.
I can press delete, to mark, that I have read the fead. It becomes gray and wil be deleted next time i go to the feeds, but for this time it remains in the panel, so i can go to the link in the gray (prepared to be deleted) feed and don't need to go back from the opened page to delete feed as I used to do earlier.
If this is actually a bug, please keep it, don't fix. Or at least make an option. It is very useful. happy

I can no longer rename speed dials. The popup only displays a field for the address. Please tell me this is not intentional.

I reported a bug on the previous build, but my report was partially incorrect:
- [Ctrl] + [T] to create a new tab
- Type some text in address field or search field anbd validate with [Enter]
- keyboard shortcut to switch to next/previous tab don't work: you need to set the focus to any element inside the window (Opera) to activate the shortcuts !

PS: and the Visual Tab bug remains when Tabs are at the bottom of the screen: their height and vertical position is inconsistent and they changes with mouse over...

Upgrading from 11.11 to 11.50-1037 and then downgrading back damages configuration.
I wanted to test new changes in 11.5, but couldn't stand the fact that the status bar got transparent, so I downgraded.
All my mail folders including RSS feeds disappeared - they could be reenabled but it takes much time.
It may be considerd not to be a bug, but one should know before upgrading...

DSK-331882 bug still there since ages now and it makes opera look so unprofessional. Come on fix it or let me know why not.

You can no longer set a custom name while creating a speed dial. But you can still change the name when editing an speed dial.

Well, I can see your point, but it is really a bug that will get fixed soon smile
You could opt to enable 'show trash' for your newsfeed view though, after the fix is in.

My Linked Speed Dials disappeared after upgrading. They still show up in the web interface, but I can't get it to sync them back in to Opera Next. I've signed in and out, and tried disabling Speed Dial sync but it won't disable.

Update: although I could disable Speed Dial sync properly in opera:config, I still didn't get my Speed Dials back. Renamed speeddial.ini and a new one was generated instantly, and my Speed Dials showed up.

And thanks for fixing Dragonfly, it looks great!
