Another Ragnarök update for Tunny

,

Here's another Tunny (11.60) snapshot with mainly Core updates.

We still want to know about NSL issues, and regressions from 11.5x are of particular interest.

WARNING: This is a development snapshot: It contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes, and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

Found a issue with the default skin.
The currently focused bookmark at the sidepannel is shown white.
Not really a good combination with a silver background. This makes it unreadable.

I noticed they corrected some translations errors with this build, why isn't it mentioned in the changelog?

earth01 Tuesday, November 29, 2011 7:29:39 PM

I think some default settings should be changed.

opera:config#Network|HTTPLoadingDelayedTimeout : 300 instead of 30, in order to keep opera working with slow connections.
All TLS protocol versions should be activated, in order to let both sides (client/server) choose the newest possible version (which is included in the TLS protocol).

Mouse flips could also be disabled. They often cause unwanted actions while "misclicking".

If I remember correctly this is a regression from 11.XX. I uninstalled 11.XX so I can't check.

NSL on Windows Live Word Web App:

Win7 Pro x86, Opera 11.60 b1177
Third-party cookies and Flash LSOs blocked <- also with allowing all LSOs
Fanboy Adblock list loaded into Blocked Content list <- also without this

This actually happens every time I try using Opera, but you guys asked for any NSLs, so here you go. I haven't tried any Wahoo build yet, but it does work in IE9, Firefox 8/9, and Chrome.

I'm still showing faults with an extension I'm developing under the Windows environment and found that both in this version 11.60 as 12.00 have a regression problem with zoom CSS property. You can not assign such a value of 1, which is perfectly allowed by the specification. There remains the problem of incompatibility with the Google+ interface and some other Google products like Google Doc and Gmail and use the extension Google+ Injector browser becomes heavy and gives a lot of it is closed, just as if in opera:config#ISP I use AppleWebKit/535.1 Id. The issue is that in the stable version 11.52 (and earlier) works fine (for what I fear may be a problem of the new parser Ragnarok), and as something that uses jQuery to handle animations (basic functions of the framework as hide (), show () and animate ()) I fear that many sites using this framework could begin to run really bad. I loaded DSK-351 251 ticket for this problem. The problem I notice with the latest versions of jQuery (1.7 and up). Another thing is that I can not do streaming software works with KDE (Kubuntu) and I have other problems with the plugins when run Opera Unite. I love my opera... Please help me... cry

earth01 Tuesday, November 29, 2011 8:05:02 PM

@Elige Opera
the css zoom property is not standard. Use this instead :

transform:scale(1.0);
-o-transform:scale(1.0);
-moz-transform:scale(1.0);
-webkit-transform:scale(1.0);

the

makes opera stop responding for month - it wasn't fixed nor acknowledged - and i am actually afraid of it. its webdev forum - if somebody boils down to the code thats causing the hangs, he can use it deliberately to promote some other browser like "oh, opera is so baad, it hangs your PC to death".

Hi!
Does anyone have a problem with sorting message by subject?

I use mail client in Opera for RSS feeds and found strange bug (?): I cannot sort out messages right and messages are jumbled.
I have messages in English and in Russian.
I've tried every option in Sorting window in the upper right corner - no luck.

This is a repeat problem confirmed by other linux users. When I go to http://www.globaltoronto.com/video/index.html Click on video go to full screen - crash . This has been a problem for many builds same on 12.0 and reported many times. No problem with Chrome or FF

I've been having a problem with email Quick Reply.

1. Start a quick-reply to any email, typing a line of text.
2. Click another email to view
3. Go back to the original email.
4. Note that the text has been deleted from the Quick Reply.

Very frustrating, as you can imagine.

Also, while spell check does check the words in a Quick Reply, you can't right-click on the word to choose the properly spelled option. It acts as if right-click has been disabled.

Can anyone confirm?

hey people,

just found something curious...
I've installed the latest two dev versions of opera:
- Opera-11.60-1177
- Opera-12.00-1174

I don't know why, but resizing the opera 12 window is really choppy (lots of flickering). The same doesn't happens with 11.60 or 11.52 (or any other window).

My specs are
- Intel Q9550
- 6 GB DDR2 OCZ 800MHz
- Radeon HD6950 2GB, Catalyst driver v 11.10
- Win7 x64 fully updated

I notice with this snapshot that when I upload a new image to my website to replace an old one and then refresh the page the old images still display. If I manually clear the entire cache with the main tab showing which has the old images and then refresh the page the old images remain. If I clear the entire cache with no tabs open and load the page that contains the new images then the new images DO show up.

Another bug:
1. Download a new skin from: http://my.opera.com/community/customize/skins/
2. The skin will be applied, but press "Undo" when asked (at the popup bar).
3. The skin will be cancelled, but its entry (its name) will still appear in the "Appearance" menu in the Skins Tab. Clicking on it there, does nothing.

[About Skin]
May I ask how to change the background color of Mail Panel?

changes under
[Treeview Skin]
[Panel Treeview Skin]
in skin.ini works for all the other panels except Mail Panel.

The white, almost unreadable, text of active bookmarks have an issue with SpeedDial. The latest active bookmark isn't reset when opening something from SpeedDial:
* Click a bookmark
* Open new tab and click a dial on SpeedDial
* First selected bookmark is still 'active' (or what the white text means)
* Close the first tab, and the bookmark is still 'active'

Also: changing from bookmark-panel to another one, and back, resets the 'active' bookmark.

I must admit that the 'active' bookmark feature is slightly useful wink If there only could be some more consistency in its behavior.

[Mac OS X 10.6.8] Unfortunately, categorizing mails by day, week ... still does not work correct. See this screenshot In "Today" ("Heute") I see 3 mails from yesterday and "Yesterday" ("Gestern") contains mails from Monday instead of Tuesday. This happened after suspending the computer over night with Opera opened and checking mails this morning.

Edit: Closing and reopening Opera solves the issue.

xhpohanka Wednesday, November 30, 2011 7:33:38 AM

Issue in M2 mail client.

I have a mail account on gmail with approximately 500000 messages sorted in several IMAP folders. When I try to unsubscribe one folder with mailing list (about 60000 messages) it takes wery long time (minutes) and opera is not responsig. At first I was not patient enough and killed the opera -> it ended with some undefined state and all messages from that folder were moved to thrash on the next opera run. Really weird.
In addition not all of the messages were sorted into the threads even if they have a in-reply-to header defined.

A promise is a promise, so here is my work. cool
Fixed skin.ini : http://files.myopera.com/earth01/files/skin.ini

In order to see the enhancements, you can use the FC command under cmd.exe like this for example :
> FC /L /N [this build, standard_skin]skin.ini [file above]skin.ini
____
The changes I made have removed the 1px line at the bottom when the tab bar is at left, right or bottom, as well as some misalignments of the tabs and the Opera menu button.
