So I'm guessing Opera 12 snapshots will continue after 11.61, right?

Other than that, this snappy seems stable. Thank you! smile

Is there a browser.js file available for 11.61 doesn't download it here

WitekShape Wednesday, January 11, 2012 9:29:33 AM

I have to uninstall the Wahoo release. It's dead.

PraetorianX Wednesday, January 11, 2012 9:41:31 AM

First, thanks for this 11.61 update! up

Possible bug: After installing a new version the Speed Dial icons are reloaded. This is unwanted behavior and it hurts performance until all are reloaded. If one has many speed dial entries, then this gets really annoying and on top of this, some icons may never reload correctly, leaving a blank speed dial panel...

after so long and just so little fixes. guess they are never gonna fix slow problems on gmail, facebook, twitter, and other websites which are currently having the "position" problems?

kinda funny how after so long of silence from the desktop team, they only released something with so little fixes. I really feel opera's closing down. at least it gives me that impression.

CORE-43307 Do not cache invalid UserJS source files
Thanks for fix:) spent several hours yesterday trying to find out why javascript became broken in opera, while it was working fine with other browsers. Renaming file solved issues for opera, now everything works just fine without any hacks.

Pls stop complaining, they are fixing bugs in the background and whats already fixed or added can be tested in the snapshots.

PengePenge4 Wednesday, January 11, 2012 11:53:00 AM

Thanks for CORE-43307! I hope we see these fixes soon in 12 builds. smile

Look at the release-speed of Chromium trunk builds. They make new builds per hour. bigsmile

Christophchristoph142 Wednesday, January 11, 2012 11:54:45 AM

everybody's always complaining about ancient bugs not being fixed and new features getting implemented instead... now that they are working on bug fixes you're complaining about the lack of big new glamorous improvements...
fixing bugs can be a pain in the a*** since you have to track them down first. Let the team do their work.

Guys you are great! Thanks for your hard work! flirt

in the ALTERNATIVE snapshots... I have 12.00 installed AND I DON'T WANT TO INSTALL ANOTHER INSTANCE OF OPERA, which is default (I DON'T WANT TO COPY MY 12.00 config files to get the same setups in 11.6x). Which moron does install both operas?? 11.6x and 12.00? how do they use it, simultaneously?????????

artemeas Wednesday, January 11, 2012 12:09:58 PM

couple of major release ago you added bookmark bar... BUT if you can't GET IT LOAD IMMEDIATELY AFTER LAUNCHING OF OPERA, then you shouldn't add that "feature"! I open opera, and IT TAKES more than 20 seconds TO LOAD THAT CRAPPY BAR.

1. launch opera
2. see empty bar (absolutely empty bar, like a status bar)
3. wait 20-30 seconds
4. profit! (all the icons (bookmarks) are now loaded)

same thing in chromium:
1. launch chromium
2. PROFIT!!!! bookmarks bar AND all the bookmarks on it are already loaded and accessible. you don't have to wait over 20 seconds.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

As far as I can tell, this has effectively solved my issue of sites loading elements before stylesheets!

System: Version11.61 internal Build1234 PlatformLinux System i686, 2.6.38-13-generic

Problem reported and verified by other Linux users multiple times for several builds.

This problem does not appear on Firefox or Chrome.

Just for a little insight, is there any remote chance that this problem may be looked at.

I'm on the mac build & the evernote clipper http://www.evernote.com/about/download/web_clipper.php doesn't appear to be working now

Blaž Pristavgeocities Wednesday, January 11, 2012 4:05:13 PM

Speed dial causes that some sites slowdown or show broken content over slow scroll, nothing to do with slowness of Cnet site but better than nothing i guess. When i add and remove speeddial.ini (cached already) than i noticed the difference. I use speed dial with 70 bookmarks and custom zoom to 40% for my 1280x1024 using default wallpaper. So any big value of speed dials will do and some custom zoom and browsing is not that fast anymore and take more RAM and CPU. up

Some of us looks like we don't have luck with bookmarks one way or another. knockout

David Dernoncourtpatheticcockroach Wednesday, January 11, 2012 4:20:31 PM

A bit disappointed by the lack of focus on 12.00. I hope it's only the tip of the iceberg and that underground 12.00 is really being worked on and not just postponed over and over due to heavy focus on 11.61. I guess we'll see...
On a side note, ironically my current Opera 12 build is massively slow on this very site (particularly on the login form).
