You guys have been busy... work on Wahoo must be really on a roll!

OperaCrashed Monday, January 23, 2012 2:55:23 PM

11.61 was quite stable for a while so release shouldn't be far away.

After that it'll be time for the real work: 12. Good luck, I know well that OpenGL drivers are awfully buggy on Win regardless of vendor.

When opening the feed reader (Mail panel, click on feed), the feed view is never scrolled at the top, it always opens 1 or 2 pages down on a random feed instead of showing the new posts from the feed. I always have to do a few pages up to get to the new posts.

Note: I have multiple feeds, but don't use the mail module for e-mails.

I'm experiencing various small website compatibility issues. You're probably not looking for those as of now but I think the biggest one: videos won't play on Vimeo needs to be addressed.
Can anyone confirm?

Also, with Turbo enabled the label in the address bar constantly flickers while typing in the field.

KDE skin regression introduced a while ago (11.60-1163, I think) is still there (archlinux, kde, i386, clean ~/.opera).

With tabs on top, the 'current' tab is made to look like it's attatched to the address bar below:

however with tabs at the bottom, the current tab looks no different from the other (apart from brighter color):

Increasing the height of the tab bar doesn't fix it.

Can anyone confirm this?

Clicking through pictures on bild.de is slow unlike other browsers (Firefox, Chrome)!

Nice Work. up

I especially like the fix for "DSK-350332 Mail unread count is wrong" as i am seeing weird counts here with Opera 11.60.

Just as krychu90 pointed out, the "+" on vertical tab bar becomes unusable.

And like ajthorva mentioned, there is not enough difference between current tab and the others (confirmed for Windows build).

Looks like Opera 12 (when it re-emerges) might include "Do Not Track"

http://www.opera.com/docs/specs/presto2.10/#m210-261

It's been added to the Presto core.

It's right. Other browsers are faster or at least smoother.

Really a bit strange or crazy.

But for me, this version is ok.

incastea Monday, January 23, 2012 7:57:11 PM

"Bookmarks" button background blends in with Windows XP Zune Theme color. This makes reading it really hard. Also when hovering on it translates the "Opera" menu a few pixels down.

Target version and time stamp of the active browser.js file is Opera Desktop 11.60 core 2.10.229, January 9, 2012. Active patches: 177 .

I try to update manually, but the version remains the same.

Didn't crash but froze Opera on my machine. While frozen, Opera didn't use much CPU. I repeated this experiment twice with the same result. It didn't involve plugins, as there was only one opera-related process: /usr/bin/opera . I had to "kill -KILL" it both times.

Debian GNU/Linux (testing). The latest Opera 11.61.

When I deselect "show close button on each tab" there is no longer a close button displayed on the menu bar.cry

grofluigi1 Monday, January 23, 2012 10:15:31 PM

@bronskimac

Yeah, that's what I said. It's super annoying.

The button is there at its usual place, just invisible. You can click it and it works. I believe that's an error in the skin.

Did I say it's very very annoying?

bigsmile

This bug still not fixed despite the fact that results in permanent external data loss.

Indeed, this regression has not been fixed yet.

The reason why we still dare to remind you about it (although it is not new) is because this snapshot is already flagged as a release candidate.

REGRESSION:

Once again, on last snapshot and this one, I sometimes have to press "back" button twice or more to go back, on pages with frames or nested frames.

I mean to reenable to show website favicons in address bar dropdown menu as it was in previous version of opera.

random crashes on funnyordie.com

anyone?

Amundamundgjersoe Tuesday, January 24, 2012 6:45:22 AM

Issue last builds viewing page with Facebook Recommendation plugin. Tek.no has this, and when viewing an article and then going back I have to click multiple times on the back-button.
First click on the back-button: the Facebook plugin goes 'false', and second or third click brings me back.

Not happening in Chrome or IE9. Has happened in latest couple of Opera 11.61 builds.

highstream Tuesday, January 24, 2012 7:20:41 AM

Before installing each time, whether 11.6x or 12.0, I use the options button to make sure the browser is not set as default. Rather, in Win 7/64, I always set "use the current browser," which for me means 12.0 opens from email links and elsewhere. Today, I proceeded as usual with the install of 11.61RC, but since then it's taken over as the default browser, at least as far as the email client is concerned. Not sure why.

krychu90 Tuesday, January 24, 2012 8:05:06 AM

wykop.pl - I cant click on anything when ACTA protest is on. On other browsers I can click when black screen (with radial gradient from black to transparent) is on top.

xhannibal Tuesday, January 24, 2012 8:31:05 AM

Still cant play video form (Opera 11.60 & 11.61 – Win Vista 32 bit):
http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/01/unity-5-0-ready-for-testing/

Is ok in Ubuntu at least for Opera 11.60.
