Because Wahoo will take long time to release, bug bugs in Tunny already distribute users.

I don't know what you expected to happen, but for me I get the exact same page with Opera 11.62, Firefox and Chrome.

Ubuntu 11.04 23bit.

No, there are no problems. Well actually yes, of course there are problems, but Opera doesn't want to release it just to bring it out. They'll release it when they think it's good and it works. There is no point in throwing a build out there of which you know it will not work. This is wasting development resources and precious time.

General life info for everyone: Don't whine for snapshots and let them do their work. For one, whining won't make them release any snapshots and secondly, the developers can test software in-house too. Only when there are no obvious problems does it need testing by a lot of people.

Don't whine. You'll get it when it's done.

Really nice smile (Kristine and this build)

One good thing about 11.6x maintenance builds is that some of the most basic bugs keep to be fixed.
This time, the 12.00 version will not have any regression (if you do not consider HA).

The last weak points of Opera 11.6x are some bugs with the mail section, scrolling issues and some skin bugs.
Fortunately, they should be fixed in Opera 12.0x (at least the two first points).

Charles SchlossChas4 Thursday, February 2, 2012 3:15:14 PM

On 11.61 the security (in the address bar, at least on OS X) > details button is broken, and if you use the security button it is glitch

Any idea if this bug with get fixed in 11.62?

Bhikkhu PesalaPesala Thursday, February 2, 2012 3:17:39 PM

No big red letter warning on this snapshot, so does that mean its a stable build just like a release candidate? Its not on the main download link yet.

Not if there's an automated build system.

I think that method actually slows down bug discovery but I understand it's difficult to do otherwise and properly organize feedback without an open bug tracker.

Put two shortcut icons to disable javascript connectors and bar in the lower left.

Thanks for your attention

rseiler Thursday, February 2, 2012 4:09:29 PM

I hope another maintenance release doesn't mean that you stop dead (from all external appearances anyway) on v12 for an entire month, or whatever it was last time.

adioni Thursday, February 2, 2012 4:15:56 PM

On the mac, trying to click away from the opera software made miniFeed facebook extension, crashes this build

EricJH Thursday, February 2, 2012 4:19:38 PM

Thanks for the new test build and welcome of course.coffee sherlock

"CORE-44002 Improved performance of parallel downloads of script and images" has me curious. Can you tell how and in what scenarios this will be noticeable?

Let me add some positive speculation to the above. May be they are working on something big like Direct X implementation of HWA. Which is more than likely a big task given the big amount of graphics hardware and drivers out there.

But then again anybody else's guess is as good as mine.... idea

BinbiK-Gergo Thursday, February 2, 2012 4:20:19 PM

Tomorrow is the Opera 11.62 final or expected?

BinbiK-Gergo Thursday, February 2, 2012 4:32:15 PM

This should also improve

Opera with OpenGL acceleration is much more faster than IE9 with DirectX. And OpenGL is supported on all platforms.

Are the Close, Minimize, Restore buttons in the menu bar back? This is the biggest reason 11.61 is very difficult for me to use...

Fulerenic Thursday, February 2, 2012 6:33:55 PM

I'm confused. Before Xmas you were releasing Wahoo builds with machinegun cadence and claimed, that 12 stable will be ready around New Year. January has gone, we got few Tunny versions and 12 stable is not in sight.

Unfortunately no sad

blaxima Thursday, February 2, 2012 7:11:56 PM

11.62 maintenance? Is this an alpha, beta, RC or final?

Glad to see it though as I can't even get the last 2 Wahoo builds to start . So you won't hear any whining from me for more of them.

Charles SchlossChas4 Thursday, February 2, 2012 7:14:14 PM

Code writing is not as easy (it takes time and testing), I rather have something that has been test than to have a rushed product, the fixes that go into 11.60 will got into 12.x

After update to OS X 10.7.3, I had all text in Opera as boxes, the fix was to restart Opera

Jeff ™intelimac20inch Thursday, February 2, 2012 7:37:56 PM

You didn't say why you were confused.

Probably because he misunderstood what they said. Without a link its hard to know that they said anything of the sort. IIRC they were saying it would take a long time to fix hardware acceleration.

This occurs very often - with Wahoo - but there are no strict steps to reproduce it. But it's a fact.

What I was saying before is that I can see no problems with that page. The same page is shown with Firefox and Chrome. So try to be more specific. Both of you.

Tested on Win7 x64 SP1 and Ubuntu 11.04 32bit Opera 11.62.

Showing the page works but not using it bug free. Also extensions like NavigationStatusBar are going crazy... -> http://i.imm.io/fMi4.jpeg

I confirm that the Close, Minimize & Restore buttons disappeared after upgrade to 11.61 and 11.62. But click the same place in menu bar and the window does close, minimize and restored, although these buttons are not visible.

Unrealmirakulix Friday, February 3, 2012 12:10:49 PM

share on fb doesn't close automatically after press the share button. It reloads instead.

Can anyone confirm?

Bug since upgraded to 11.62 builf from 11.61 final.
