Since drag-and-drop was introduced, you are not able to drag .html files into Opera to open them.

I only hope this is considered a bug, and not a "planned feature cut" ...

Bryan KirkZero3K Wednesday, May 30, 2012 7:00:23 PM

Hopefully the "more fixes in the pipeline" include the reducing of RAM and CPU usage.

pjn123 Wednesday, May 30, 2012 7:02:33 PM

4 Bugs:

1: When you use one of these new themes (like Green Grass), if you move window from fullscreen to unfullscreen it (Win7) the maximize button don't change its status until you move the mouse over it.

2: I can't drag the tab outside Opera anymore to open it in new window sad

3: When I use a theme like Green Grass the whole speed dial interface is very slow on resizes (like docking it to the left or right of screen and then moving it back to the top to make it fullscreen again). When I move the tiles around its slow too. If I disable the theme everything is fast again. With HWA enabled the green grass is fast again.

4: When I go to this site I get the annoying flash crashes (Opera crash logging failed):
http://mybroadband.co.za/news/

Win7 x64, Opera x86, HWA disabled

Hey Folks,

i hope the widgets will be reactivated by default.

And there is something funny with opera. Sometimes it seems that clicking inside websites does not work there is only a marker that Opera does not work. It is not possible to read mails either. The mails are only scrolled to the end.

Greetings

It's all the same with 11.64, so it's rather an issue with the extension.

Sorry, but it's working fine with my 11.64. The sun is there, but not in this build.

Charlie ClarkMuzzlehatch Wednesday, May 30, 2012 7:25:02 PM

I didn't notice it in the recent change logs but it seems that the most annoying glitches on Mac OS have been fixed. So thank you very much. Feeds index total is still off but that's easy enough to live with. The Growl integration more than makes up for it! If things stay like this, this may well be my last post on 11.64

Sandboxing postponed until post 12.00?

Why doesn't Opera work properly on SkyDrive??? There are many issues.. sad

ouzowtfouzoWTF Wednesday, May 30, 2012 7:53:25 PM

I had a lot more crashes watching YT vids with this build, but only the plugin wrapper crashes, not the whole browser like with the last builds.

w7x64, x64 build, hwa off, webgl off

It works for me on Windows XP Home SP3, but the behaviour is not as expected. The page scrolls right up to the top if I hold the mouse cursor over the page.

If I drop it directly onto the page, or into the URL field, the HTML page opens.

It doesn't open if I drop it onto the Tab Bar.

"The final isn't far away now" - make haste slowly, guys.
This build eats lots of memory with only one tab opened on www.rozetka.com.ua - 360 MB, while v 11.52 with 12 tabs (www.rozetka.com.ua included) consumes 340 MB.
The problem with partly shown RSS feeds still present.
At first run after mail base was transfered from backup, CPU load jumps up to 60% and stays that high until I close the program.

Fresh profile.
Win XP SP3 32 bit.

Ahmad Moawyaahmadmoawya Wednesday, May 30, 2012 8:04:54 PM

Very stable, most freezes I had seem to be gone with this build smile

Thanks Opera Team

Bhikkhu PesalaPesala Wednesday, May 30, 2012 8:19:00 PM

  1. Default shortcuts for show/hide panels (Ctrl + Shift + #) still don't work
  2. Switching tabs breaks shortcuts for show/hide toolbars
  3. Pinned tabs shrink to almost nothing — no text, no icon, nothing to identify them without hovering the mouse

Finally! wink Great to see some improvements in oopp. THX!
But still freezes do occur regarding oopp and flash.

Hmm, nearing release and still the Opera platform functionality hasn't been decided. IRC or not, or different functionality across platforms?

uzrnm06 Wednesday, May 30, 2012 8:46:14 PM

Small bug, here are the steps to reproduce :
1. Choose some custom theme
2. Click show menu bar
3. Click show menu bar (to hide)
and there is no Opera Menu ( until restart that is ).

Note, if there is option Show Border everything works fine, also there is no this problem with standard skin.

Can anyone confirm ?

There are no changes to IRC support for Linux or Windows in Opera 12.00. This was always the case.

Not related to this bug, but were you ever able to check out your AMD desktop to see whether it has C3/C6/C7 State support, and if so, whether it's enabled (you already checked for the separate option EIST)?

What is it going to take to get the ability to print from the Print Preview window working again. Been a problem for the past 6 + builds. Both is Win XP 32 bit and Win 7 64 bit. I get this error message when i try to print..

Bug affecting moving and re-ordering tabs when tabs are set to "Wrap to multiple lines" is still present in this build (DSK-364749).

Also this build is constantly using 30% of CPU (core2duo@3600MHz). Even with no tabs open, no mail accounts set up, no feeds, nothing. Just idles on 30% all the time.
opera:cpu shows 8% of CPU usage in Other category, so that may be part of it, but where's the rest?
In process explorer I see two threads with ~15% CPU usage each and huge amount of context switch deltas (>100k).
Reported as DSK-364940.

For some reason since the last 2 or 3 builds links with 'target=_blank' have opened in the same tab. I don't think I changed anything. But it doesn't happen on a clean install of Opera, it only happens with my current settings.

OK, thanks. I use IRC all the time, and was worried that because Mac lost it, it was only a matter of time before other platforms did.

Does this mean a new venture for Opera, where the level of functionality differs across platforms? I would love to know the reasoning why a Mac user wouldn't use IRC, yet a Windows or Unix user would.... Or did technical reasons mean it's temporarily missing on Mac?

According to the blog post where IRC was removed from Mac, it was removed in part because there are better IRC clients available on the platform. Is the decision for other platforms based on some other reasoning because I'm not sure about the implicit claim that Mac has better IRC clients than Windows or Linux.

Head over to http://www.erepublik.com/en/map , then click on the 'Select country' dropdown and try to scroll through it. For me, scrolling doesn't work with this snapshot (whereas it does work with O 11.64). Win XP Pro SP3, HWA is disabled.

It's working here. Opera x86 on Win7 x64. HWA Off.

Very few YT crashes here. Normally just the plugins crashes.

still insecure connection on mail.google.com

Confirmed, i guess. It starts as a secure connection but then turns into a unsecure one.

bigsmile ! Thanks.

Nice build so far. But found a page loading bug at Wal-mart.com. When I click on a product the page loads ok. But as soon as I scroll down to say midpoint of product page I get endless loops of elements loading over and over. It then shows loading issue in other tabs as well.

Can anyone else confirm?
Try this page: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Step2-Lifestyle-Custom-Kitchen/5903083

Let page complete loading. Then scroll down a little bit. Should see looping.
