After a while on Twitter, start using lots of memory and freeze very often.

This has happened since version 11.64 build 1403 worried .

P.D.: Sorry for my bad english p .

Win7 x64, Opera x64, Clean install.

Seriously I cant believe you are calling it RC after this.

http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/8007/skydriveproblem.png

I cant figure out how to draw a circle in Gimp so that it is remarked, but the issue is pretty obvious, I cant see the folder names, and HWA is off, so is WebGL.

BTW it cant log out unless I middle-click and get it in a new tab.

Ubuntu 12.04 x64.

PD. I have to say it again... beautiful scrolling, you got it there, now pleeeease.

Win7 SP1 X86, HWA & Webgl disabled

Scrollwheel, mouse input, etc. do not work on this page

http://www.villagevoice.com/2012-04-18/news/Mitt-Romney-american-parasite/

in this build. They function in other browsers.

JarradAkdor1154 Friday, June 8, 2012 5:13:41 AM

scrolling is still noticeably jerky on pages with the common design pattern of some javascript to emulate position:fixed when scrolled past a certain point (e.g. facebook ticker, top menu on the main page of Ars Technica) sad

EDIT: tested with HW OFF and OGL, will do DX in a sec
EDIT 2: DX is a bit better on facebook, just as bad on Ars.

I'm on Windows 7 x64 with Opera x64, on an i5 660 / NVidia GTX 260, latest drivers, smooth scrolling enabled. Chrome and IE9 are both a lot more responsive at their default settings in the same scenarios. sad

Come on Opera, you're getting beaten by IE! p

This version is working.

For the last couple of days I've been using OpearNext on linux quite extensively and there are a couple of issues that made me want hurt myself:
- when tabs are on side (right in my case) often I cannot interact with them because when I try to move it even a milimeter it jumps out of the vieport (and cursor changes to the icon with red 'no parking' sign)
- ofthen after restart tabs are restored but they are shifted up therefore I cannot do anything with them except maximize or close and reopen
- the skin is really broken as I have black letters on grey background but the highlight for currently selected item is also black resulting in black letteres on black background
- the menus are repainted veeery oddly - for 1/2 of the menu is showed and after I mouseover the menu then the rest is showne...

are those a know issues or should I submit them as bugs?

Lycus HackerEmoLycusHackerEmo Friday, June 8, 2012 5:18:28 AM

I have checked the box the cache, i close the browser, and opera still remembers the pages you visit.

Hello

this build is nice, but the performance on some websites are very very slow and the cpu is on some websites very very high

for example

http://www.gizmodo.de/page/2

when you click on this website the opera:cpu tells me that more than 70% cpu load, also when i only scrolling on the site.

the second website that i`ve tested was the benchmark side
http://people.opera.com/mage/canvasbench/

now with this build the framerate is a little bit better but the performance from the internet explorer 9 can not be reached with this build. :-(

about ~ 40 frames /s
about ~ 20 frame /s with the text benches

hardware cpu 8600 core2duo 9600 nvida graphic card with the
latest nvidia driver nr 301.42

i hope you can fix the very slow performance in the next build.

Is there any way to install the 64-bit RC (or the upcoming stable release) over the current 32-bit stable version? I know they install into different directories, but since this is the first 64-bit version there needs to be some way to migrate and retain all of my settings and user data.

sorry. gmx.net is a bad site.
if I change my opera to "be a firefox" then everything works fine.

JarradAkdor1154 Friday, June 8, 2012 5:58:42 AM

OK, in testing a previous bug I noticed something else - when switching to Direct3D, buttons and inputs on at least opera:config change to a serif font.. weird. OpenGL and software don't show this.

The RC build installed separately from both Opera Next and Opera (Win7, 64-bit build). Can't call it an RC if it doesn't overwrite the stable build ...

Does anybody on Linux see something like this with non-native tabbar? http://ompldr.org/vZTY1cg
I can't figure out how to make it look just like in 11.x. The trouble is, it's definitely profile-specific (works fine with clean profile), but I don't want to re-create everything. Fiddling with themes, restoring toolbars to default and trying to untick "Show borders" doesn't help. Using GTK-styled Opera under Awesome WM.

The video caching in this live video must be broken, because it's stops alot of times, any 4 seconds or so, and I don't see the same behavior in Chrome. Cpu % is also higher in opera 1448 than in Chrome when watching the video.

No problems here, the video is playing fine with no stops so far.

"DSK-365336 Clicking the close button on an inactive tab makes that tab active before closing it, causing visual disturbance and slowness"
Only partial fix...shift+click still has the bug
Also cnet.com does not scroll at all

ownedowns Friday, June 8, 2012 6:24:42 AM

Ahh at last SSE bug is fixed. smile

Now I found another nasty bug
Max Connections Total is reset after set manually in opera:config, visit network settings and confirm with OK. Same goes for opera:config#Performance|MaxConnectionsServer

To reproduce:
1. Go to opera:config#Performance|MaxConnectionsTotal
2. Set Max Connections Total to any number greater than 128 (which is maximum in settings>preferences>advanced>network) for example set it to 500
3. Then if you use the browser everything is fine, BUT when you go to settings->preferences->advanced->network the value is reset to 1 and if you press OK button, the value is saved in operaprefs.ini

Can anyone else confirm?

WinXP Pro SP3, AMD Athlon XP 2500+, 1GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 7600GS 256MB video memory
Opera installed as USB/portable

P.S. Same thing happens with 11.64 (and I guess every Opera version)

some more whining... ok - under linux with default skin there is no telling which tab is active and even after selecting "minimize all" i often end up loading bookmark clicked from bookmark bar in the background&minimize tab... this is not annoying... this is RETARDED! and frankly - makes opera useless :/

[OSX 10.7.4] Visual Glitch in simple progress bar, native skin, German: On pages with large number of elements, i.e. >200, the text does not fit the available space. It the number are cut of at the right.

Btw, is there a chance that DSK-365028 (missing labels in pdf.js), DSK-364444 (web font issues after page reload) and the annoying multiple dialogs when starting Opera in offline mode (DSK-364927) will be fixed in final?

It looks like another final Opera coming out with the bug of plain window closing still present. Shame mad
Clean installation -> Show menu bar=true -> Show close button on each tab=false -> Pin current tab -> Open a new tab -> The close button does not work.

I assume you mean the ‘clean cache on exit’ setting? That is not what that setting does. Change the start-up mode from Preferences: General to something other than Continue from last time.

Opera x64 win7 crashes in following scenario:
1. Open two windows of Opera.
2. Open YouTube and play some clip.
3. Drag Opera Tab into another (opened window), just like if you wanted to merge these windows.

Exp:
Tab is merged into another window.
Act:
Opera crashes.

Another thing is doing the opposite, so drag and drop tab to detach it from main window. In this case played video sticks to main window and newly created one has no YouTube video on the page.

sabio Friday, June 8, 2012 9:45:05 AM

Opera window title is not re-painted properly when using "lightweight" skin.

Switching to another window does not make Opera window title "inactive" (gray).
Sometimes it's vice versa - Opera window title is displayed "inactive" (gray) even when Opera window is active. The icon in the top left corner however is displayed on "active" (blue) background.

Switching back to Opera Standard skin resolves the problem.
