The browser works in two streams or one?

Installed on a computer without Opera in 1454, synchronized bookmarks at the end of a number of blank bookmarks.

Another buggy release?

jkforde Monday, June 11, 2012 9:07:13 PM

using the latest Flash (11,3,300,257) and this beta, Flash stutters very badly when streaming audio in a background tab while I, for example, load or reload another tab or type a term into the search box in opera:config. I had no issues doing this using 11.64 (just now, just before I upgraded)
XP SP3

if i enabled hardware accelaration it cripples my entire surfing on any page no matter what.

LoganNeckSpazm Monday, June 11, 2012 9:47:41 PM

When visiting target.com, the menus take a few seconds to drop down. 11.64 does this well and all other browsers.

HWA is disabled by default because the Direct X back end is not ready yet. We are asked to test with software rendering only for now.

I turned on HWA & WebGL, set the Renderer to 0 (Opengl I think), and haven't had a bit of trouble.

Yeah, I wish they'd fix that. It's not a regression so I don't expect it to be fixed until after 12 is released. I think it started since they introduced Ragnarök.

alekksander Monday, June 11, 2012 10:08:09 PM

status bar placement "on top" puts it above tab bar, making windows title bar appear again.

Gmail presents two or more copies of your messages over IMAP, so that's no surprise and nothing new. But with the default settings, you should only *see* one of them in places like the Unread and Received views.

Don't do that then... no new behavior here.

Wow! Yes, weird... I was having all sorts of problems with it today and ended up reinstalling to try and fix it (permissions, admin rights, installing into a different directory...). After all that it eventually opened the plugin but with an empty document - I assumed that was the result of all my fiddling about so I gave up for the day.

But since you have problems as well I guess it might be an issue with Opera or Foxit and not my system!

Shomari-RBG Monday, June 11, 2012 10:18:01 PM

EDIT: I can confirm Foxit PDF is not exhibiting correct behavior when 'open in browser' is selected. Files are opened in separate window outside browser.

Really hope the remaining issues are ironed out. Still have trouble on sites with flash content; and intermittent freezes after closing tabs. Overall stability has improved and I have my fingers crossed...

XP SP3

This is a CSS issue, actually a bit older regression, will get fixed, but maybe not in 12.00. Check out after Core updates after 12.00...

It's a bona fide Opera issue, with several PDF plugins.

This is related to the video driver software. The drivers for the Windows-only DirectX rendering system for Windows Vista and Windows 7 are much more mature than the drivers for the OpenGL rendering system on Windows.

In Opera 12 x32 and Opera 12 x64 build in email client Spellcheck does not work.
And where is the option to select multiple languages for spell checking?

Untested here, and probably not even in reference to v12, but Foxit happened to put out an update today:

-Fixed an issue where the Foxit Reader plug-in cannot be loaded in Opera and will cause other plug-ins to fail to load.

Opera Next works very well, very fluid. But as UNITE has not, so far was my support and promote the Opera desktop browser.

It was a beautiful romance.

Regression 11.64 (scrolling one page down/ up):

shortcuts:
<blank>, <shift+blank>, <page up>, <page down>

don't show the whole page down or a page up, those shortcuts are scrolling a page too short always. Makes it hard to read content fluently, because on every <blank> "scroll down one page" the eye won't catch the end of last line of last pane.

Mentioned shortcuts are working ok on Opera 11.64 and on Firefox 13.

Thank you.

As long as there is some chance of surpassing or reaching IE10 level of performance with HWA, I support Opera.

Confirmed OS X 10.7.4 x64

Opera did hang on first load but loaded just fine and it took longer than 2 minutes to get a response from the server for the page

after a bit Opera Next locks up and is using 88 to 112 % cpu

edit: then later it went back to 6.7% and RC 3 is not hanging

Seems that the site has some nasty server issues, very slow to respond

You guys may want to try again and set Opera browser default to open pdf files with default application (not inside Opera browser). wink

I can't rate this as a Release candidate. I can not use the browser longer than two minutes everytime! The keyboard input sometimes is broken. It is almost impossible to use a Gmail inbox without connection problems!

How will a update from Opera 11.62 to Opera 12 go?
Will it update to Opera 12 64-bit automatically?

If I install Opera 12 64-bit, my old Opera 11.62 is still there and also my 11.62 preferences/bookmarks/speeddial are not present in Opera 12 64-bit.
