"As usual we are interested in serious bugs"

Bad. What about the few handful remaining regressions from 11.64?

We need more information about this issue. I wasn't able to reproduce it. Is it happening also on clean profile?

Interested to know how you have determined that it's a Opera problem, and not a Hotmail problem....

Irrelevant of the cause, it's the Opera sitepatching team which would have to include a fix for it in browser.js

ktxgio Wednesday, August 1, 2012 11:46:16 AM

tested in 3 pc's and same bug like previous release

Opera 12 32 bit does't work fine like Opera 12 64 bit
dsk-365031 still present! only in 32 bit, 64 bit works great.

problem with webmail...opera don't load page after log in at webmail (virgilio.it for example) if opera is identified like opera, if i change identity (of opera) login is completed successfully: this ONLY with opera 12 32 bit (and opera 11.6x release)

No problem with opera x64 bit version or previous 11.51 32 bit (for example), log in is completed successfully and webmail page is loaded without problems even if opera is identified like opera

No.
But Сrash is reproduced on a work and home PC(same OS and browser version).
I can provide the necessary information.

I can't add,move or remove feeds RSS on http://portal.opera.com

Linux 32bit

danielmmmm Wednesday, August 1, 2012 12:05:50 PM

I'll just do the same thing Opera does ... I'll repeat myself:

WOW, DSK-357099 (locked tabs after Opera start) still here!
This one has been confirmed by another user here and I provided detailed information via e-mail after the initial bug report!

After Opera start, every minimized tab after the currently maximized one is locked/grayed out!
Will this extremely annoying bug ever be fixed?!

Brendabjdobson Wednesday, August 1, 2012 12:07:53 PM

Flash player still not working sad

Win 7, 32 bit. Installed it many times, cleared cache and cookies, etc., etc.

Indeed, but according to this page, Opera QA is the one who need to analyze the problem first, and then passes to DEV -> the Web team(sitepatching team). So hopefully this will bring attention to the QA team.

chawoobie Wednesday, August 1, 2012 12:55:44 PM

In the last several builds, during install, I get a popup from Norton Security stating "Opera.mapi needs attention". When I open it says nothing bad has happened, so I close the message a move on. Has anyone had this happen? Doesn't happen on my 64 bit desktop - only on my 32 bit laptop.

Unrealmirakulix Wednesday, August 1, 2012 1:11:51 PM

outlook.com buggy +1

but release was probably to close to fix till today wink

Hi ktxgio, is this a free webmail so that I can register an account to test it? Sorry for asking, I don't speak any Italian ;-)

This is a very peculiar problem - there shouldn't be technical differences for site compatibility between the 32- and 64-bit versions..!

Here to signup on virgilio... And yes, it is free. I am Portuguese, but I understand Italian a little bit

Many NSL problems on linux yet.
Fedora 17 x32

On win 7 x64 using Opera x32 build this problem is less frequent.

DSK-366715 Can't click the "close button" at the top right of the screen.

When you install a "Theme" (background image) it adds a 1 pixel at the top of Opera, making it impossible to click on the top buttons (Opera/Minimize/Restore/Close).

Regression from 12.00 still not fixed.

viperbruno > At some point you are right, but it's not really Opera's fault that Outlook.com is one of the worst coded website of the web. And that they want to respect and support the web and it's good evolution.

masterofopera Wednesday, August 1, 2012 2:00:45 PM

bug Player mouch too flat on http://cams21.de (free Media) when "On demand Plugins" activated -> Opera 12.01 & 12.0 & opera Next 12.50 & Opera 11.64

Under some condition, the Videoist is also missing (I need to figure out why -> Extensions & Contentblocking deaktivated -> On default Opera it is shown)

Thiemo Wednesday, August 1, 2012 2:04:51 PM

The issue with the broken OpenGL block list
http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1493032
... got worse compared to RC1. Now it shows "Backend not supported: Unknown error" even if I delete the broken 1.0.9 blocklist. When I set "Preferred renderer" to 0 (enable OpenGL) and "Enable Hardware Acceleration" to 2 (force HWA) the OpenGL rendering pipeline works perfectly, even better than the broken Direct3D fuzz.

This is a blatant lie. Opera includes all sorts of workaround for non-standard behavior. It even supports things like the IE-proprietary document.all.

Time to quit lying, and time to quit being a child!

No, he's wrong. Opera was built from scratch to work with badly coded and non-standard sites.

D1sasterp1ece Wednesday, August 1, 2012 3:36:22 PM

Opera fails to detect window change with multiple windows if you don't also change the active tab - http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1497242 . This is not 12.01-only issue, seems that all 12.xx builds suffer from it.

YaroslavFeyFre Wednesday, August 1, 2012 3:50:42 PM

DSK-369212 still not fixed. As far as I understood it causes 99% of my crashes,

TigTex Wednesday, August 1, 2012 4:07:25 PM

So.. nobody noticed how slow is to navigate on local network http sites? for example your router webinterface (192.168.1.1 on my case). On any windows 7 (32 or 64bit) CLEAN installation I can confirm this, and this doesn't happen on linux. (osx I don't know). The problems started with opera 12.00 (11.64 everything is ok).
Also, the out of process plugin cause an huge amount of cpu overhead. (40% on opera 11.64 vs 95% on 12.01). Can't anyone create an opera:config variable that would allow to disable OOPP? Makes 1080p impossible on non-hardware accelerated flash (my gpu is not compatible).

Currently these are major problems to me, since 12.00

Andrew Nguyenandrewnguyen Wednesday, August 1, 2012 4:46:15 PM

Twitch.tv works so much better now! Thanks.

rolle2k Wednesday, August 1, 2012 4:53:49 PM

Crashes when trying to view twitch.tv vods
example: http://www.twitch.tv/dreamhacktv/b/326537522?t=8h15m00s

oh and, after crashing, my speed dial sites like to reload for some reason.. mildly annoying

windows 7 x64 / opera 32bit

Want an easy-to-fix serious regression?

http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1493032

Opera Team can fix it by simply updating the file on auto-update servers (windows-opengl.blocklist.json).

Ahmad Moawyaahmadmoawya Wednesday, August 1, 2012 5:55:01 PM

OMG FINALLY. This build actually fixed the freezes I had with Flash videos on my OS X 10.6.8 bigsmile bigsmile

Thank you very much Opera Team.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. I still get freezes when I have zoom set for the page. Setting paze zoom to 100% fixes the issue right away!!

Still problem with Wand/Password manager.

When Password manager is active Opera slows down on some pages.
With Password manager off pages loads fast.

Funny how several sites 'know' when a snapshot is dedicated to be a final when it's not yet up on opera.com and the FTP...

WoW!

Seems like scrolling performance is again as good as 11.64! And even better (smoother)...

Opera as it should be!

Please try to tweak scrolling performance still a little bit more in the next RC, so that final 12.01 becomes a truly better version than 11.64!

I'm looking forward to Opera with a perfect tweaked HWA, so that it is on by default and does everything better than Opera in software mode.

Then Opera will kick everyone's ass, even if the best of Chrome, FF, IE and Safari was put together in an awesome x-over browser! wink
