Approaching Opera 12.02 Final
By Haavardhaavard. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 8:25:04 AM
We are approaching the final release of Opera 12.02. It is not quite ready for Release Candidate status yet, but we've fixed a few bugs.
Of particular importance is CORE-48069, which fixes an issue where secure pages would be shown as not being secure. Let us know if secure sites seem to work correctly now, or if you are able to spot any new problems.
WARNING: This is a development snapshot: It contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

Sorry, I can't be concrete due to not knowing steps to reproduce, but I noted today that Opera eaten almost 2 GB of memory and did a lot of I/O slowing down the whole system. After closing it continued to do somethings with 20-30 CPU and slow reducing of memory usage for about 10 minutes.
For me Opera usually uses so many resources for mail (I have tens of thousands letters), but again I can't tell what it was.

tell me how many builds have to wait to get your "fixed internally" is reflected in the actual build? - I'll wait
and probably not going to post about this problem in the next build, where it will be broken, as you ask

So apparently a lesson has been learned from the issues that accompanied the release of version 12, which many called and still call premature.
Please keep it this way, and keep the rush out of the releases

When i visit the website mail.opera.com the adress field does not show me "Secure" after loading the page. There is just "Web" to see there. This is the only site with this problem. I have tried it with a clean usb install too.

Is opera team ever gonna take these bugs into consideration?? or am I wasting my time..???
Hadesfenorbee # Wednesday, August 22, 2012 7:34:25 AM
Some minor bugs of these: random favicons in bookmark bar, randomly disappear in earlier opened random tabs. (yet unable to reproduce which and when or why)
Plugin Process still gives 1 Error Message after closing opera, with crash log failed or successfully created. (x64 version, I still have that)
This version is on the way to get back in Opera's history of best browsers, can't wait the new updates and also 12.50.
Win7, x64 version installed.

Just try with Wordpress or click on SIGN up here: http://diasporaproject.org/
Nothing appears.
Please, fix this annoying issue, I've been asking for that since ver. 10 now.

CORE-48069 Opera isn't connecting correctly to secure pages
Seems to STILL give me some problems but eventually do log on. 1552 I ABSOLUTELY could Not log on to a VERY important secure website I pay for to control very expensive machinery.
12.01 didn't have that problem.
Scottn1 # Wednesday, August 22, 2012 9:38:22 AM
I've always just used the x32 version on my x64 Windows box thinking there is no speed benefit to using a x64 browser (some javascript benchmarks have shown maybe even a slight performance loss for x64).
Also, is there any chance you could default Google searches in the bar to encrypted Google like Firefox recently has done? It only requires me a quick change to do it myself, but I think it would be a good default for all.

There is a graphical issue with open tabs. I'm using tabs on the left side of the Opera window. When there is enough of them there comes a moment when Opera tries to condense it more to something like a bar. In this very moment when you move cursor over tabs they go haywire. They blink, tabs are expanding and condensing over and over again. This way you can't properly choose a tab! When there is even one more or one less tab it doesn't happen. Please fix this as it's getting on my nerves. Would be nice if someone would confirm it.

According to one of the comments it's blank because " browser developers fail to learn the difference between straight and premultiplied alpha."
BTW yes, it is a gif, a trolling one.

Worst part is that NSL's appear randomly and are not 100% reproducible. I can have one, clear cache/restart and then same page loads without it.
I can get one at this page but not consistently: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/new_customer/base_packages.jsp?footernavtype=-1
UGH

Also, noticed the "share" controls in the articles are showing the Tweet/Email dropdown always. They should be closed unless you hover over the button.
On installs of the last few builds with 12.0x and Marlin, when dragging the new version and doing a replace, I'm getting "Opera.ics file in use." Is that the icon file??
