Yet another snapshot

Hey ya'll
This build only includes the revert of out of process (for Windows 32-Bit only), which we already did in 12.02.
Plugins should now behave better in the Next snapshots as well.
Also the revert is only for 32 bit windows builds as we did for 12.02

Known Issues:
  • See previous snapshots

WARNING: This is a development snapshot: It contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

It would be fixed and re-enabled in 12.50 Final, wouldn't it?

KerenSkyy Tuesday, September 4, 2012 11:13:08 AM

Thanks!
I guess I can pass on this.

It will be re-enabled when it is of sufficient quality disregarding version.

Flash crashes on initialization every time since operapluginwrapper-native has been updated. Overwriting it with the one that shipped with build 1546 fixes it. I'm on Linux x86-64.

It sounds a reasonable move.

YAHOO MAPS CRASH....

bachokocho Tuesday, September 4, 2012 12:13:23 PM

Today is a memorable date: factiva.com is working with Opera party I found this with the previous snapshot but anyway, it's huge achievement - I'll have to find who's fault is this

Ah confirmed, I found a bug internally for this. We will look into it. Thanks :-)

Still Opera crashes when I click right button on page area.
It's highly uncomfortable, so I have started to have an idea that I should abandon Opera...

Windows 7 32bit.

p.s. Turn off the switch 'Enable Hardware Acceleration' has no effect.

Mask as IE (which use IE 9) has the wrong OS as IE 9 can't run on XP, should be Vista or 7 for the OS for the IE string

Firefox user agent string might want to upgrade from version 4 (which is not supported) to string 14

Is this a Next snapshot, if so the OS X version is missing a next

Darko Pantićpdarko Tuesday, September 4, 2012 1:58:34 PM

Does Opera no longer work on 32-bit processors? I cannot start last three builds. All I got is Illegal instruction message.

You realize that you are using an ALPHA version, right?

Did you not read the HUGE RED TEXT warning you about snapshots?

Quit trolling.

thanks for the new build,

I'd love to see the newly introduced delay after clicking the speeddials and the extensions preferences bug, to be fixed ASAP.. this 2 are too annoying indeed.

other bug: RSS READER

when you right clic a folder in the RSS Reader and clic : Mark All As Read, it supposed to mark all the feeds in that folder as read, not only the opened one, right ?? At least it's what I think it shoud be, but, It DOES'T.

Opera 12.50 seems really stable here, very few crashs reported, even with the OOPP.. thank you for this.

and little OT: thanks Olli for taking time answering questions by here, I really appreciate what you're doing.

win8 RTM 32bit

Now, even when browsing for quite a while, and creating and destroying tabs, memory usage is stable, and my Windows is happy.

Thanks, Opera team!

touch seems to work reasonably well for me on w7x64 with O.i386

Sometimes this version still seems to forget extensions settings, but it seems to happen fewer than before (but that could be my imagination) ...

How come Mac binary of current snapshot has Opera.app inside it instead of Opera Next.app? Even icon is red instead of gray...

P.S. It looks like right build and everything, but has to be renamed before copying in Applications folder, otherwise Opera 12.0 will be overwritten - so do not drag it straight to Applications!

Extension buttons are not showing up on my toolbar. Not sure if this is a setting I can change or a bug.

Thanks for the snapshot.

Just to be clear, with 12.50, at the moment you are in Pre-Alpha or Alpha?

I don't understand what problem people are having with the 32bit plugin version.

It has worked great for me. Sad to see it go.

Maybe it's Flash x86's fault? I never had serious problems with flash. Not even when I was using the x86 browser with the x64 plug-in. Now with Opera x64 and Flash x64, less still.

It looks like you guys inadvertently made Opera 12.50 instead of Opera Next 12.50 binary for Mac. It can be cured quite easily though - 'bundle identifier' and 'bundle name' values has to be changed in Info.plist inside the package (easily done with Xcode). After that opera:about showed immediately, that all directories changed back to the ones of Opera Next. Icon can be also changed of course, if any older Next build is available, but this is not essential.

Obviously I learned something new by that today...
