Thanks, very nice.

First Impression:
- Zooming keys (plus/star) are still broken
- "Rewind" still works only on private tabs. (Try it here: "http://www.heise.de/newsticker/foren/S-Uno-soll-Meinungsfreiheit-im-Netz-international-einschraenken/forum-240085/list/")

In this version of the same problem - I can not get rid of the scroll in adressbar. I put "TreeView DropDown Max Lines" = 20 (or even 300) and could not see more than 6-7 lines and scroll. maybe it's because I use the Russian language. what to do? clean install I've done. small font used - ugly scroll goes away. : (

amazing changelog! thanks! for some of those changes i've been waiting for a very long time. this is simply great! DSK-352101 and\or DSK-374117 suppose to fix it, but every extension that loads on start will cause loose of focus ...anyway have a great day there in oslo!

\ Can we have non-next builds to try over our regular Opera again?

Scroll & move pointer in the address dropdown list; its shadow will become darker with every scroll, untill it's completely black.

Lots of good changes that many people will be happy about here.

Found a problem though: after minimizing, restore fails to paint anything until I do Alt+Space and then Restore (if maximized) or (if not maximized) drag the only thing that's visible, which is the window border. (Alt+Tab twice is another alternative to force the repaint).

Win XP

Since Opera 12.10 has reached beta stage, why don't provide normal Opera build? I want to try it on my regular Opera. Please!!

well... You can... try installing next build over Your regular and pretend the logo is red.

Satan D. Lucifersupertrol Monday, October 15, 2012 9:34:13 AM

@iosaddict

try this

1) opera:config
2)search for "product"
3) change the numbers according to your preferrence

0-Regular Opera
1-Opera Next
2-Opera Labs
4) Restart Opera

that way when you Help>>>Check for updates opera wont check for new next snapshot(will only check for regular final builds if you set it to "0"

otherway is to upgrade your main installation to the latests next snapshot if you want but be careful what the RED WARNING before installation though

hope it helps.

I can confirm this in Win 7 with Theme installed. (Works fine with standard skin)

Martin KadlecBS-Harou Monday, October 15, 2012 9:50:20 AM

Also the min/restore/exit buttons with theme installed are finally completely on top, but area right off the exit button is still not considered as the exit button. So clicking to top-right corner doesn't close Opera.

klaudyuxxx Monday, October 15, 2012 9:51:19 AM

finally address bar has focus when creating a new tab if progress bar is set to show inside address bar. thx smile

Can anyone else confirm if outlook.com is broken on this build with HWA On?
Win 7 x64

ktxgio Monday, October 15, 2012 10:17:49 AM

i tested this new release:

1) this 3 sites are not showed correctly if HWA and Webgl are ON...BUT in Opera x32 release only! Opera x64 WORK FINE and show pages correctly
site1 http://film-stream.tv/2009/03/battlestar-galactica-serie-tv/
site2 http://www.elilan.org/documenti/prova-flash
site3 http://www.meteo.it/

2)Opera 12 32 bit does't work fine like Opera 12 64 bit
dsk-365031 still present! only in 32 bit, 64 bit works great.
Problem with webmail...opera don't load page after log in at webmail (virgilio.it for example) like a NSL but with a blank page if opera is identified like opera, if i change identity (of opera) login is completed successfully: this ONLY with opera 12 32 bit (and opera 11.6x release)

No problem with opera x64 bit version or previous 11.51 32 bit (for example), log in is completed successfully and webmail page is loaded without problems even if opera is identified like opera

Win 7 x64 clean installation

shaneh Monday, October 15, 2012 10:18:27 AM

The 'X' to close Opera is still not aligned to the top-right hand corner when using themes, violating fitts law. Using the standard theme does not have this problem.

The 'restore/maximise' button gets corrupted/unstable when dragging the window to restore it rather than clicking the restore button. (also only when using themes).

Basically the minimise/restore/close buttons are not very well implemented when using themes.

danielmmmm Monday, October 15, 2012 10:19:36 AM

So many bug fixes, thanks!

But DSK-357099 (minimized tabs to the right side of the last non-minimized tab are grayed out and not accessible after Opera start) is still there sad

Is it only me who is affected by that bug? I guess most people do not minimize tabs, but _switch_ to another one instead.
This one is really annoying when you use the MDI and have tabs that are not full screen, and you minimize them to get them off the screen! Next Opera start, all those minimized tabs are inaccessible! faint

ll3mo Monday, October 15, 2012 10:33:47 AM

After OPEN (in the latest snapshots was needed to write a message) the chat on gmail (or g+), the cpu goes over 50% and only close the tab stop it. In opera:cpu the usage is about 2-3%.
Disabling SPDY fix the problem.

Someone in Opera is considering this? I'm reporting this since SPDY was introduced.

(Windows 8 rp x64 AND windows 8 pro x64, x64 build, hwa off)

Tested: opera-next-12.10-1624.i386.linux.tar.xz

This UI regression still persists: When "Show Menu Bar" is disabled, the menu bar disappears as it should. Disabling "Show close button on each tab" brings back the menu bar in a crippled form, which it shouldn't ...

This is how it looked in Opera 11:

Sorry, didn't know if it was referring to Mail threading or process/CPU threading. (which is my main issue these days). I was hoping I could revert to how Opera used to work rather than it's new blocking behaviour.

Very nice snapshot up

- ALT key does not open the Opera menu. (regression)
- Disabling "display close button on each tab" creates a new bar with a second Opera menu buton which cannot be removed.

Config : openSUSE 12.2 x64 gnome 3.4.2

CryioAcryion Monday, October 15, 2012 11:51:14 AM

Every time I see a new snapshot, I feel warm inside thinking Opera just become a better browser. Ok, leaving awkward things aside p, nice job on the snapshop. As usual, working smoothly.

A few random crashes that I can't pinpoint yet, but not too often.

Oh, and HWA fixes soon?

Justasdrumblius Monday, October 15, 2012 11:52:00 AM

For the last 3 builds I can't access gmail anymore. Site will never stop loading and then I receive error that connection was to long.
Other google services seem to load fine.

Can anyone confirm this? If not, any suggestions on how to fix this?

7l2um Monday, October 15, 2012 11:59:54 AM

DSK-351602 is not yet fixed.(IME: When the Control key is pressed while inputting Japanese characters on Linux, the characters inputting are committed.)
Typing Japanese using the control key is not possible in text areas.
The IME which has confirmed the problem is uim-skk, uim-anthy, scim-skk, scim-mozc, ibus-skk and ibus-anthy.
I could confirm that only scim-anthy worked without the problem.
This bug occurs ONLY in Opera and does not occur in Iceweasel and Chromium.
I think that it is improved by giving the priority of the Control key to IME when IME is enabled in the text areas.
Opera with this bug is all build after version 10.60.
This is a critical bug. Please fix it immediately.

Supertrol's steps 1)…4) ”rebrand“ Opera branches; in step 3) you choose what you want your installation being treated as. It's as simple as that.

To overwrite a final build with a Next snapshot, you have to select the final's path in Next's installer – should be obvious, shouldn't it? (You may get some minor issues with default browser / handler of .html/… types, though.)

Same issue here. Removing all of the cookies for gmail helps... for some time. 1. Right click on page 2. Choose "Edit site preferences..." 3. Tab "Cookies" 4. Delete all the cookies 5. Reload the page You will have to log in again but it should work. I have pinned tab with GMail open all the time and I have to remove cookies from time to time because GMail starts to give 403 errors. I don't know if it is reported already. I can gather more information about this if not reported yet.

FavDjiXas Monday, October 15, 2012 1:11:13 PM

Most unstable build to date, 64, windows 8 RP

90% of sites crash Opera, speed dial thumbnails gone, crashes when loading them, then repeats if I open a new tab page.

Crashes randomly when parsing rss feeds in reader, crashes when I zoom in

When restarting, tabs dont work at all, clicking on a tab while opera is loading wont do anything, I have to click on another and then on the one I want, it just keeps displaying old data. This bug btw exists in dozens of opera builds

Also, locked tabs wont load any pictures and F5 does nothing when browser has crashed so I need to unpin the tab, close it, open a new tab, load page, which then loads pictures, pin it again and repeat when opera crashes next time, like in 1-2 minutes
