I have found it +- 16:20 (posted 16:00) and it is still not in RSS feeds..

Sad true. Hope that in near future I will not have to be refreshing here every few minutes smile
(Have subscribed via M2 and I have set reloading to 5minutes for this blog)

The caching on My Opera is a bit heavy sometimes. Leaving the RSS feed a bit behind. Centralized clients such as Google Reader do their own caching as well.

If you feel like you are missing out you can get snapshot notifications that are usually posted on Twitter by either myself, Ruarí, or Håvard within minutes of the releases.

Guest703 Thursday, December 6, 2012 3:52:24 PM

No plans to implement this feature yet?

There's an RSS feed available. You don't have to refresh.

newscpq Thursday, December 6, 2012 3:56:21 PM

are there any chances we receive this snapshot through the autoupdate (dwonload all snapshot), on windows?

While it works fine on MAC, autoupdate doesn't work on my notebook with Win7...

I am still using snapshot number 1661...

Off-topic: it says latest *12.11* snapshot on the link under "blog search"... that should either be "Latest 12.12 snapshot" or (preferable!) "Latest Next snapshot"!

CryioAcryion Thursday, December 6, 2012 4:24:34 PM

What is this?

DSK-378025 Alpha transparency drawing artifacs with HW accel is on

A HWA fix? Thank you Jesus wizard (Opera team I mean)

Aren't you forgetting to update the presto specification? Even Flexbox is still missing (not mentioning the upcoming features smile ).

DSK-377241 still a problem.
(After starting opera with no network connection and then connecting, all page requests result in "Internal Communication Error".)

chawoobie Thursday, December 6, 2012 4:30:25 PM

Will check out tonight. Hope that the long delay in Opera starting while plug-ins load was or will be addressed in near future.

ahoj1234 Thursday, December 6, 2012 4:30:28 PM

problem with:
http://www.filefactory.com/
click on "login" (when you do it.. it starts)

what is wrong:
Site is "disconnecting" me from Internet network (well I am still connected but nothing loading, ICQ/FB protocol is not running so have skype gets offline)

this is +- until I close this page.

Not related only to this page but only here I am 100% sure that this is +- 80% reproducible here

filed as: DSK-379227
w7x64 with this x64 build as CLEAN USB install (separate install)
anyway.. any confirmations?

PS: off topic but what is present simple of "filed" (using with "filed bug report" etc..) - I can´t find it.. whistle sad

edit: bad word splitting I think. "can´t" should not be split or? (in previous case it is split at end of line to can - ´t) really don´t understand English too much but this is not "can not" but this is shorten form "can´t"..) Am I wrong..?

earth01 Thursday, December 6, 2012 4:38:54 PM

Really good, thanks up
I can switch from 12.02 to this one now party

"DSK-375447 Deleting Private data deletes persistent storage (unintentionally including extension data) by default"

Very nice yes

Christophchristoph142 Thursday, December 6, 2012 4:51:45 PM

Thanks for DSK-375447!
I hope you didn't only separate the extension data into an own option, but made it stop deleting the default variables out of the config.xml-file along with the custom settings...?

The problems with Intel continue:-

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/motherboards.html

A screen print of Opera 12.12 build 1680 is here:-

Getting told to redirect to "Chrome, Safari, IE or Firefox" is not good for credibility - especially from a major player like Intel!!!

I am not a native speaker but "filed" should be fine. "Can´t" is the short form of "cannot" (without space) and it shouldn´t be splitted.

Could you post a screenshot? I'm still on 12.11#1661 and I don't see anything like that there, or did it magically appear in 12.12?

Filed comes from "file", "to file a report" (not from "fill"). Also, split-split-split, iirc, not splitted. ;-)

Sorry guys, did I miss something? I'm using opera next 12.50 just for purpose of what Opera can. Now I see, there is only 12 snapshots. Did I miss something?

Christophchristoph142 Thursday, December 6, 2012 5:25:17 PM

12.50 was re-branched to 12.10 quite a while ago...

haightashbury67 Thursday, December 6, 2012 5:29:33 PM

Tested: opera-12.12-1680.i386.linux.tar.xz

Wonderful! I'm glad the annoying UI regression that brought back the menu bar when "Show close button on each tab" was disabled has finally been addressed. And I had thought, I'd be stuck with 11.64 forever ... There's still a small issue with the three window buttons at the right edge of the tab bar. While the minimize and close buttons behave as expected, clicking the maximize/restore button works only once, reducing the current window to a smaller size (far too small is in my opinion). Shouldn't this button work like a toggle that alternately changes the window dimensions between reduced and maximized sizes, like this one does? ...

"Maximize"=Maximize page, , , "Maximize", "Caption Restore Button Skin" | Restore page

Apart from that I like 12.12 a lot. There are so many improvements over 11.64, especially on pages that contain Flash clips. Among the few "dis-improvements" I have found is the rather sluggish behavior of some UI elements, like editing the address bar using backspace or scrolling the search engines ...

misiekbochenski Thursday, December 6, 2012 5:47:30 PM

'WheelLeft' & 'WheelRight' mouse gestures still don't work (since 12.10 afair)

Whoops... shouldn´t have changed that =)

Opera seems to have a serious problem with this site.
Memory consumption soars till all memory available is used and finally Opera crashes.

You will probably also have to install the first new Next version manually, as the autoupdate function of Opera 12.50 (logically) doesn´t find a newer version.

Michael Maierschwiebie Thursday, December 6, 2012 6:26:07 PM

And MyOpera still has the problem, that sometimes posts weren't shown immediately. You have to refresh the site. And sometimes twice.

larsen25 Thursday, December 6, 2012 6:30:26 PM

Confirmed. Right now it´s pretty bad. I had to refresh 3 times to get to see my comment 100621012, edited it and got an error saying that I was only allowed to view it or something like that.

On refreshing the page, my comment was missing again. Refresh some times then finally got to edit my comment without getting an error. Though, page still doesn´t show the comment anymore. Refreshing again and again and finally I can see my comment with the last edit.

should be better make something like "DNS prefetching" for this feature smile if you move over a tab.. you know.. smile

but I am with this Idea too wink loading after start need improvements since Opera is only one browser what can handle hundreds of tabs without problems cool

The window itself behaves like expected, I think.
But the icon doesn't change until you hover the mouse over the Opera window. That's apart from all applications I know.

It restores the last size you manually set, isn't it?

Problem. Opera 12.11 has this ''normal'' way of viewing a single tab.

It's really a good release, I also had problems with the first 12.xx till 12.02. 12.10 was a good improvement apart from the known problems with e.g. Google services, which I seldom use.
12.11 was a bugfix release (with only a few new features), and also 12.12(?).
And then I hope for a Christmas 12.50 preview with a lot of improved features. x.50 releases often were the most innovative ones.

Still not fixed, that's right. It's fixed when you can read it in the Changelog. But there are hundreds (or thousands?) of other unfixed bugs. Before you complain too much about that, read the blogs of other browsers or other complex applications. It's a normal situation.

Michael Reesreesmichael1 Thursday, December 6, 2012 7:30:09 PM

Well, Desktop Team, I'll go ahead and say it: You've outdone yourself! For the first time in as long as I can remember, the comments on this post are not complaints about various bugs, but instead compliments on how good the 12.1x branch has become--and after testing for most of the morning, I can only concur. Opera 12.12 is really, REALLY good. Keep up the great work! yes
