Still doesn't open Gmail2 under Mac. I log in and it loads as the older version of Gmail. When will this be fixed. I know there are work arounds to get this to work but i've tried and failed. As there are work arounds surley its easy enough for Opera to fix?

rwf 11. January 2008, 20:29

bug-302151 -- the plugins and 'error 4' issue 'appears' to be fixed in this snapshot. Thank you.

Searching history with the quick find box through Tools>History is either broken or intolerably slow.

"m2 is broken.

I had this last build when trying 64bit for first time, reverting to 32 resolved it. Dates were also missing and message icons were different.

lamarca 11. January 2008, 21:06

the accents of some latin characters are not displaying correctly. some examples:
´á, ´é, `0ò, ^ô.
should i submit a bug report?

Bill P 11. January 2008, 21:11

Feed filtering seems to not always work (actually just stopped working). And the "filter existing" did nada, will try restarting and see what happens when new feeds arrive.

Also, emails and phantom entries still found in feeds

Claudio Santambrogio 11. January 2008, 21:11

nebbus, which Java version?

cooperator, either you have unchecked "keep local message bodies" (and then this is expected), or it only *looks* as if they are gone - that is a glitch that we have fixed in internal builds already.

Claudio Santambrogio 11. January 2008, 21:12

lamarca - it's a known issue

Bug numbers? Note that I did try the links you gave earlier, and they all animated for me in recent builds, so I have a problem reproducing this.

Also it would be great if you make it possible to edit bookmarks from bookmarks menu. Now the only way to correct a bookmark name is to open a sidebar.

Sounds interesting but complex...

You mean opera:historysearch? That is still disabled IIRC, as mentioned for a previous weekly. Use the History panel for now.

But how can they be properly redisplayed? I revereted to previous and now they show.

and why did they correctly show untill my 5th or 6th crash? Obviously it's the executable not the mail store as reverting fixes it (or so far it does)

SwistaQ 11. January 2008, 21:30

Where is close button on tabs ??

To be pedantic, I don't see any questions. To be specific, as I said to Uzm, please give a bug number for the animated gifs issue. Which Open/Save file dialog to use on Vista has been discussed by developers because you pointed us to this issue last week. I can't tell you what will happen with this issue.

Tim Altman 11. January 2008, 21:42

@Uzm: http://snapshot.opera.com/faq.html#why-bug

@WildEnte: We're planning to make it so that checking "Download message body when checking", Opera will download all existing message bodies, which would solve this issue.

Crash with speeddial icons after cleaning private data is slightly differnet now here. It doesn't crash anymore but it seems to block surfing while trying to get the thumbnails back. I need to close opera and open it again to be able to surf again.

That would be nice. Might take a little while :-)

Even better would be the ability to say "delete from server but keep locally!"

Tim Altman 11. January 2008, 22:22

@pgweiss: That's coming, too. Maybe in Peregrine....

@junyor: heavens, please no!! I have a 1 GB IMAP mailbox! Downloading all messages at once would kill me! You have to give an option which ones to download at a given time. As in: mark messages in list, right click and choose "download message bodies" or so. But all? nonononoonooooo...

What's the bug number? If you don't file a bug, it's infinitely likely to not get fixed. Don't assume someone else filed it. Its always better to file too many bugs than not enough.

wow, this build seems much faster again (speed seemed to have dropped since the alpha builds).

@Rijk,

re: speed dial keyboard shortcuts, ctrl + number has never worked for me anyway, is it a known issue that for some systems it just doesn't work? or is this editable in the settings? still doesn't work in this build by the way.

Same for me here! Argh :D

Влад 11. January 2008, 23:28

hey people.
build is great but there's one annoying issue - when it is opened 5 tabs only four of them have shortcuts on the tab bar and the one becomes "hidden".
when I open or close some tabs - the problem is gone.

JSJAG 11. January 2008, 23:31

Quicktime in Windows XP SP2 doesn't seem to be working. Oh well I'll use the stable version install if I want QT. I'm much happier that OP correctly sorts the mail.

JSJAG 11. January 2008, 23:35

The QuickTime issue is weird. If I try to open the link I get an error message but if I then hit the back and then forward button QT will start to load. Hm.....odd, very odd.

blinkybill 11. January 2008, 23:37

Hi,

After loading this build my custom skin doesn't
show any close buttons on the tabs at all.
It worked okay with the previous 9721 Build.

cheers
blinky

Rafał Miłecki 11. January 2008, 23:50

Swfdec's support looks to be closer now (plugin is detected, still nothing is displayed). Hope very much to see Swfdec working in Opera in some next weekly

Bug: #306956

P.S.
Swfdec will be included in Gnome 2.22, so I belive it's important for Opera to support it: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/swfdec/2008-January/001125.html

Hypezor 11. January 2008, 23:55

Great build.
Java is back on unix which is good news as it has been broken since quite a long time now.

Deezer.com "almost" works: the whole page loads now (flash), it just doesnt play sounds.

bug-305908

Lars Andersson 12. January 2008, 00:01

The ctrl+shift+enter and ctrl+shift+tab keyboard shortcuts don't work at all here. Is it related to the ctrl+shift+number bug mentioned earlier?

Also, shift+enter does not work on all image links. For example, it doesn't work on the linked avatars here on My.Opera, but it works on other image links (such as the logo). Regular links work fine.

Esmeralda Meza Manriquez 12. January 2008, 00:02

That it seems that the programmers were not interested in operating the Bug fix so big that this makes appeared from the 9.5, where saving an image automatically appears tab transfers and it is quite annoying, and the truth does not intend to return to version 9.25 because it is a framework eats type 2 firefox =/

Sorry my English is bad =(

MetalRaise 12. January 2008, 00:05

I can confirm that FHN works as expected. Also, the #anchor issue is fixed for me, too. Just because of these simple and little details this build already feels faster.

Steve Darken 12. January 2008, 00:11

@bexs: Hummm... :wink:

Uwe aka JaDa 12. January 2008, 00:14

Nice Linux build so far :D
Opera crashes on Java if you use in the browser the back button.

screenshots are here

Thx Guys good Job

Argoyne 12. January 2008, 00:24

I have the same issue as tosbsas except as mentioned in the last build by someone it doesn't have anything to do with speed dial, in so far as I don't use speed dial and have it hidden.

Specifically when you use Delete Private Data with the "Clear History of Visited Pages" option active opera may crash(only happened once) or more often just fail to access any new web pages. I haven't yet tested this in a pristine install.

Has this issue been reported?
