Here is a further 10.61 release candidate. The changelog below reflects only changes since the last 10.61 release candidate (not since the last 10.70 build). So, let us know if you spot any regressions since 10.60 or 10.61 RC2. And remember missing fixes/improvements from 10.70 are not regressions!
Thanks in advance for all your help testing!Download

This is my first and (at least for the foreseeable future) last post on this blog:
For the last nine weeks I have been a summer intern in the Desktop Team and as a long time Opera fan I totally enjoyed it! There are some very cool things happening in the future of Opera and I'm sure that they will make it rock even harder!
If you have wondered what we summer interns did this year: We mostly developed tools for the testers and developers at Opera that should help them to release builds even faster!
Todays RC mostly contains stability fixes. But we had to revert the fix for the blanking out of the start bar, as it caused some other problems, and it probably won't make it in 10.61 Final. You should also look out for problems with cookies as we fixed a bug in the cookie settings. There are also some improvements for Geolocation on Unix and some fixes for memory issues.
Have a nice remaining summer and to the Opera team: Good Luck!Download

Many of the Opera desktop team have been away enjoying a well deserved summer holiday. In the mean time the rest of us have been looking at issues affecting 10.60.
We still intend to work towards a post 10.6x release (currently called 10.70). However, whilst you await that here is an initial release candidate for 10.61. It is exactly the same as 10.60 plus the fixes below. WARNING: This is a development snapshot of Opera. It is released for testing purposes, and there may be serious bugs and unfinished features.Download
