Mid weekly release
By olli. Wednesday, March 29, 2006 11:26:52 AM
Widget UI is still under development, some things might not work as expected.
Also take a look at the Web Applications team new blog, for details of some of the extra features of Opera's canvas implementation.
Also if you are tweaking with the language file in the weeklies try to catch these entries from Peter:

Headers-not-printing is known.
The missing </html> is a bit silly, but doesn't have any bad (or good) results.

Try for example search for XSLT - it searches only links.

I don't know how to report that because is necessary to make logon into Orkut to send scraps.

i was very specific a while back. but no one cared. try every forum based on the vbulletin code (like http://www.forum-3dcenter.org) and read some threads, then you notice, that the messages are displayed cascaded. on the gmx.de site on the inbox page the display of the messages is messed up massively from time to time (try loading it a couple of times).

The site auto-reloads itself every 5 minutes (I think) thats the correct behaviour but, no matter what identify I use, it just stops working correctly, it just gives me a blank window after it refreshes like, the second or third time AND another bug on the same site is that I click on a link and it goes to the page but blank, I have to go back and re-click 3x or press reload to read it. It has been like that on every 9.
Appart of that Opera is the best no matter what!! Keep'em coming!!

I need to know it to create my own translation for the Final release of Opera 9. I mean, if they will be re-arranged some time, i will have to remake all LNG-file...
I'm about it:
-303587263="Could not connect to remote server"
406813980="Connection closed by remote server"
etc...
As You can see, the codes seems to be randomly arranged to make more space for new strings added during the Beta-period.
PS: Sorry if this was already been discussed.

When doing the http://www.24fun.com/downloadcenter/benchjs/benchjs.html test, now I get results in the 4.95-5.05 range instead of 3.95-4.05.
Is there a reason for this?!
Further the build is great

Edit: forgot to tell the platform: Linux Slackware based derivate Zenwalk 2.2, Kernel 2.6.15.

Visited links file seems frequently reseted.
Font in history i transfer panel is different than in other panels.
Also - when viewing images there is few pixels margin/padding(?) can I change it somehow?
When will the thing with site specific cookies setting fixed?
And do you have to put so much unnecessary code in override.ini - even if I change one thing its served with 10 or so additional lines, its 10 times bigger file to read at startup.
And...
Um... ok, thats all for now ;D

Tests: 1, 2, 3
Links: my journal, forum topic
Just couple examples of affected live pages:
Sitepoint - print and email icons
JuicyStudio - small icon after every external link
You need to use zoom to "activate" this buggy behavior. Press [+] or [-] on your numeric keypad.

My startbar in Windows is on top, and when I click the Opera widgets, the background gets a black tint -- except for the space at the bottom where the startbar usually is.

When Spam e-mail are received by the Opera e-mail program, there should be a pop-up option so that one can see the 'subject' and 'from' lines of the spam e-mail just received. That way, if a real e-mail is filtered as spam, it can possibly be caught much quicker.
This popup would of course be in the lower right corner or left corner and dissappear after a pre-set time.
Thanks,
Peter
