edit:
A new icon (like in Opera Mini 4.1) would be REALLY NICE!

It's smooth and nice in the latest Opera Mini.

Couldn't wait anymore for 9.51 final, so I installed RC3

Is it possible to alow inside transfers to drag&drop songs to winamp? I cannot do it now. I know there is option "open with" but I want simply to drag some songs to winamp. This was possible with 9.27

And please, correct this annoying green circle/light being lit after download is completed.

And why the hell I cannot put additional smilies when I want to EDIT this post/comment (it works OK with new post/comment though) - and I didn't disable them.

Cheers,
Miki

Upgrading from a previous install, and leaving the 'Create desktop shotcut' field checked (that's the default behaviour) Opera creates an other desktop shortcut named Opera, even though there was one there. So I get two links with the same name ('Opera') and target. This issue is there for some builds using Classic Installer on WinXP SP3 and Vista SP1.

I've noticed that 'download completed' popup in recent builds ... well, just pops up  While it used to scroll up and down earlier.

I think I would prefer previous behavior. Or probably some other animation like fade in/fade out.

Will someone be kind enough to tell me if this is related to Opera issue or specific site issue (site admin mistake). I'm asking this question since RC1.

There is a problem with Gallery on this www.mobilnisvet.com website, both IE and FF display Gallery as it should be, but not Opera. Here are the pics:

Thank you a lot for this new Build

You want Feedback, you'll get Feedback :

- Upgrading:

I've upgraded from Build 10080 to 10081 and have no problems so far

- Saving:

Finally! Saved images don't appear in transfer window anymore, thank you! Saving other stuff (webpages, files...) works like a charm here, BUT I would love to see Vista's default explorer for saving stuff like images, files... Would it be possible to add this feature in 9.51 Final or 9.52? It was in the very early Alphas of 9.5 so I would love to see it again.

- Print Preview:

No crash here, but when I scroll down, I get black lines on the right side. They disappear again by scrolling up.

Thanks again for the new Build and keep it up!

NOT confirmed, working great on last build, also on previous (maybe you have problem with upgrade) ;-)

re feedback concerning upgrading (from 9.27 on XP here):

- Installer: painless until the last point: "Start Opera when I press finish" was checked and I hit finish, but nothing happened for 20 seconds. Then I opened Opera manually. I didn't get a "another user is running opera", so I believe the automatic start at the end of the installation is broken.

- I knew about the skin change, but I can only imagine that some people will go "What the heck? It said it'd keep my settings on upgrading Opera" when they see that their skin changed from (in my case) the old Opera Native to the new Opera native, which really doesn't look good.

- Why does the Get started using Opera page tell you how to disable a feature as one of 4 main points? Sell it as "Superb fraud protection" and in the "more info" make sure the disabling is described.

Other than that: painless.

bug 326791 is still present

Opera saves images that were opened in a tab of their own without an extension under Windows XP Professional Corporate Edition.

NOTE: "File->Save As..."|Ctrl-S saving, NOT "Save Image..." saving is meant here. Image opened as the sole document in a tab and then saved as a being the openend document fails, right-clicking the that document and saving it using "Save Image..." works and of course is not the problem that needs to be fixed.

Thanks for "Saving of images is not recorded in transfers anymore"!!!

But I still have this problem:

I set to open next tab on closing one tab, but when tabs are all opened by "ctrl+shift+left click", it opens last active tab and not next tab!

Removing all RSS Feeds from Opera 9.50+ will still leave Feeds in the toolbar and the Opera icon in system tray remains despite there being no Feeds.

[--] When downloading many pictures using the links window, the Opera suddenly stops to start any new transfers after a while (47 image downloads successful then it stops downloading the rest).

[++] It seems that the very old sporadic bug from Opera 8 or earlier is gone (or under control again), where Opera downloads the image to the cache but then fails to copy the data from the cache to the destination file. It was quite rare in Opera 8, quite common in Opera 9.0x-9.2x and very massive (50% of all image downloads) in earlier Opera 9.5x builds.

Another regression. When saving a website, changing the file type in Windows XP's save dialog will not alter the extension of the "filename", it will be ".mht" no matter what. At least the file filter in the directory view of the save dialog is changed, when I change the file type in the drop down list.

Conclusion: all the bugs of Opera 9.50 I have found under Windows XP Pro that are about downloading and the file extension of images and websites are still there, only slightly changed but not working properly nontheless.

The problem is, that is definded to 700px width, but the content has no brakes and is wider than 700px. It could be taken as Opera's problem...(but there is no max-width defined, so...). I dunno... :frown:

There is a bug with transfer tab.

You open Opera and makes a download. Opera opens a transfer tab.
Than you open a new window. In this new window at each download made Opera opens a new transfer tab (you end up with multiple transfer tabs).
If on the old window you close the transfer tab, than on the new tab Opera reuses the transfer tab properly (you have one transfer tab with multiples files).

This happen since 9.50 but i am too lazy to comment or to file a bug report.

Then it won't be fixed. Devs won't file bug reports on their own based on users forum posts. At least that's my experience. I'm not even sure if they check out forum posts with more detailed bug descriptions even when you add the link to the bug report.

sigh....I don't like this version. Here are my problems:

-Save Document as doesn't add an extension when saving images. (Why would I use save document as to save images?)

-My custom mouse gestures to save images from image boards doesn't work anymore. Said gestures were: Left, Right or Right, Left and did: "save document as & Delay, 1000 & Close page & Switch to previous/next page".

I did this in that way because it was the only way it worked in 9.5final and previous snapshots. Previously in 9.2X I simply had the save as without the delay command and it worked fine.

Also...if I try to use any other of the "Save" commands in the gesture nothing happens as its supposed.

Hi!

Thanks a lot for the new RC and congrats on the great efforts. But there are still 2 annoying bugs I already reported and one of them deals with "saving".

1) If you select more than one item in the links panel using the ctrl-key and you deselelect an item the downloadbutton gets inactive so that you cannot save the items that are still selected.

2) In MyBB or vB based boards there's a problem with the editor. Everytime you click on a button to format some text the cursor jumps to the beginning of the textarea. It worked with 9.27.

Is anybody else experiencing this things or am I the only one?

Greets,
Michael

The default options for "Save as" is still "Web archive" (Single file). Opera does not remember the option. Please set default to html or html + images.

My sincere thanks! So, I'm waiting for a new Rc or the finalest version 9.51!
Good luck to all developers!
Nevertheless, I've got one big promlem = bug! Opera can't normally understand the Russian codepages in a lot of forums, for examle based on core VBulletin 3.7.*!
There is the examle of this bug: РЎС…РёРјРЅРёРє !!!!
So, this bug I've firstly seen when downloaded and installed Opera 9.50 and it's still in the builds of Opera!

1. Open Opera in not-maximized state (a window on desktop)
2. Maximize Opera
3. Enter Full screen
4. Leave Full screen
5. Un-maximize Opera

Opera window size should be same as in 1.

Opera window size is stretched to desktop resolution, even if you leave maximized mode...
