Added compatibility
By Tommy A. Olsen. Friday, 2. June 2006, 14:54:18
This weekly has quite a few goodies, my favourites are exporting bookmarks to Netscape format and support for the CONTENTEDITABLE attribute, which makes Opera more compatible with IE targeted sites.
Full list follows, as always with a few things left out

Full list follows, as always with a few things left out
UI
- Bookmarks exported to HTML are now in the Netscape Bookmark File Format, making them compatible with Yahoo bookmarks, Scuttle, MyBookmarks etc.
- Further improvements to the new access key interface. Press Shift+Esc to enter access key mode where sites support it, eg [url]http://www.opera.com or [url]http://news.bbc.co.uk.
- Multiline edit fields, compose mail and source viewer now have a
horizontal scrollbar if needed.
- Changing alignment of mail headers now doesn't hide or overlap headers
Rendering
- Added support for the CONTENTEDITABLE attribute.
- Setting table height to 100% now works in quirks mode regardless of
height of parent element(s).
- Stand-alone images are now centered on the page - image.css is read again.
- User set encoding is now window and site specific.
- Baseline for CJK characters is now correct.
Widgets
- window.moveTo and window.resizeTo are now supported, as well as window.close.
- Fixed unwarranted security violation errors.
Mac specific
- IRC DCC file sending now work again.
- Fixed some general redraw issues.
- Faster font reading during startup.
UNIX specific
- Ctrl+H now hides Opera to the systray if there is one.
- Installation on Sun OSes now work.
- No .1 linux packages today, our build machine died

- And as usual: Several crash fixes.
Known issue
- Some links on some sites might not be clickable in the Windows build.
Happy testing!

There seem to be less artifacts when scrolling with the mouse wheel but using the cursus keys is still impossible.

this reminds me of something from american dad :
"Francine, you be very careful out there today, we're at terror alert orange! Which means something might go down somewhere in some way at some point in time. So look sharp!"

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, and I'm not sure if I should report this to you or the BBC. On the BBC Blog Network, all the blogs have a massive amount of space to the left, with just one link at the top. It's easier to just see what I mean:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/worldcup/
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/nickrobinson/
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/actionnetwork/
I don't know if this is a problem with the browser not working with a certain bit of code or something, or whether it's the BBC doing something wrong.

Identify as now is (in my opinion) in better place.
I think they think in this way: Opera normally have own UAString (Opera is Opera and should identify as Opera when it doesn't occure any problems). But when you have problems with one site you now shouldn't change UAString, cause you don't need it at other sites. Now you can be Mozilla or IE at every site you want (in Site preferences), but normally you are Opera.
And thanks for "realy masking" without this Opera at the end
I'm interested in one thing. What UAString have Opera identifed as IE in Linux?

I don't know if my router uses NTLM but for the first time since last week I actually managed to log into my router with Opera (previously it said Authentication not supported or just hung). Opera 8 never supported ntlm...

Right, didn't work the first time I tried it on TV.com; does now as you explain.
Another funny thing: On http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/frontpage I have set my log-in to be remembered; it wasn't in the last few builds. It is now, sort of. I have to reload the site after it has been loaded for the first time, then I am shown as logged in.
My cache is emptied on exit, and Opera had been closed in-between.
Michael Perlov # 2. June 2006, 22:16
No matter, what search engine you select - always using Google,
except opera.com engines (http://www.opera.com/support/search/supsearch.dml etc.)
also, opera converts ~ in links to /home/username:
Menu Item:
Item, "Firefox" = Execute program, "firefox", "%u", "Firefox", "Firefox"
Link:
http://some.host.com/~perlovka/
Firefox received "http://some.host.com//home/perlovkaperlovka/"
in WML still broken
Paul Skinner # 2. June 2006, 22:20
That's handy; one less reason to have IE.
Markus # 2. June 2006, 22:38
I thought this would only be a temporary flaw in the last build, but it keeps on being in here!
Using IMAP, setting a message as "Read", it once read in the status "Setting flag" and then it stored the message as read. The last two build DON'T do that, at least not for www.gmx.de, and it is very disappointing. Everytime Opera synchronises mail, everything is back to unread! Not nice...
And another thing: for example, http://www.butterweck.org/files/bubble.swf does not load. It only shows up a blank page with "<embed src" in the upper left corner.
Hugo Pessotti # 2. June 2006, 22:45
Thank you guys!! Now I can use Opera with my remote profile!!
Great build, this one is better than beta2 itself.

I wonder how many others revert to previous builds and thus shrink the pool of testers possibly below an optimal number. Might there be thought of an interim weekly that just resolve critical regressions?
thanks,

This bad look of quck contacts didn't appear in the Linux build 300 of Opera - now I'm using 315

This is on Windows XP. I know this may be hard to identify or test this problem without being able to log into webmail. I can create a test login in anyone at Opera wants to see this.

@l0ne: We're aware that accesskeys aren't working on the Mac.
@_artem_: You should see some of out internal builds.
@Scorpio75: Would you please send me a log file via PM that shows the IMAP read mail problem?
