By Tommy A. Olsen. Wednesday, 7. June 2006, 15:41:10
Its the middle of the week, but what do we care.
Known issues:
Changes from last Friday:
UNIX:
Download links
Windows MSI
Windows Classic
Macintosh
Unix
Known issues:
- Search engines other than Google will also use Google.
- Opening standalone files that require plugins still display "<embed src".
- Middleclick features (Paste'n'Go and Panning) do not work.

Will there be localized searches in future, too?
Toolbar-Searches does not always search with Google: amazon.com searches on Opera
Searches on panel work properly, but shift to open in new tab still doesn't work.
My custom search created 2-3 weeklys ago is still there - works with shortcut, not on toolbar (google).

and the middle key of my mouse...
All the old problems with 8455 seem not to be solved and new problems appear. I should say, this is the most unsuccessful beta I have ever tested. Why to launch tihs middle weekly? 'cause of the WM? Sorry for my bitter words, but I am really disappointed......
Anyway, thx for your eforts and, longing for the next weekly version~~~

The soft-hyphen does not display a hyphen when it breaks a word at the end of a line. IE 6 works correctly, Opera 9 does not. Not a new issue, though... but I did not stumble over it earlier.
Cheers

Can you also make it disablable in preferences window? =]
kav2006 # 7. June 2006, 18:12
1. Sometimes Opera's Transfers on status field write not "Done", but "stopped", however downloading is complete and all files works!
2. The problem with Lang settings (when you switch favorite and encoding and press OK. preference window diapear) hasn't been fixed yet
3. When I'm clicking on link "Реформатор" on site http://www.artlebedev.ru/tools/technogrette/etc/reformator/ Opera crashs

"Plug-ins work properly now."
When I go to Youtube.com, the Flash videos still won't work. Going to a few sites that have Flash still don't work (BBC's TV page for example). Some sites it works, but some it doesn't. Maybe I misinterpreted the info given about this build above.
Build 320, shared, .6; Mandriva 2006.0 with KDE 3.4.2.

Good work!
Loki1zI # 7. June 2006, 18:51
But this problem is really suck:
"The tabs look different in this build. I don't like the way really long tab names just continue outside the tab's borders. If I remember correctly, in earlier builds they just got three dots in the end if the name was too long to fit in tabs completely."

CSS background-color: attribute is working!
ytsmabeer # 7. June 2006, 19:15
side menu is not usable and visable
musebliss # 7. June 2006, 19:23
But bgcolor is HTML-Standard and W3C Standard, so I think that it is in fact a bug made by Opera.
Since it has always supported it, until this build.
GaBBaGandalf # 7. June 2006, 19:24
but i'm using Windows build 8460
greetZ:GaBBa
netwolf # 7. June 2006, 19:28
However, 3 things I noticed:
1) still crashes if the drive where it's installed is full
2) 'Blocked on current page' is always empty even if there is content blocked on that site.
3) when you delete a completed transfer using shell menu, its status changes to 'Stopped' (which is wrong of course).

yeah... i know that bgcolor is W3C or HTML 4.0 and lower standart... but if web-developers add to it pages HTML 4.01 or XHTML doctype they can't use this attribute... i think so...
and i have next issue with RSS feeds:
so... three last symbols in author name are replacing to three dots...

@HerwigF: works for me. Test case?
desmasiic # 7. June 2006, 20:23
That sounds more like a feature than a issue
EDIT: Oh and some sites like Gamespot and Digg, I am having problems with not being able to click 'next' page links. No idea why, I did disable scripting on those sites but enabled and reloaded, but same. I didn't have this issue before.
Digidani # 7. June 2006, 20:24
But I still have problems with many Windows Media-Streams. For instance www.n-tv.de (Videos/Livestream). Or www.viva.tv (Charts). Builds before 8455 have no problem. Also 8.54. But the new builds doesn`t work.
And: Please fix the flash-bug! Or can I use flash without "first-klick-in"?

@FAS: Could you please submit a bug report about the language in the installer?
@M-Z: Maybe you didn't choose to install with a shared settings directory.
@episode: We know, will be fixed.

- Visited links are again not adhering to the time limit I have defined (after 2 hours they should revert to unvisited; they don't).
- http://www.iview-multimedia.com/support : background should be white (and was until and including the last weekly) instead of grey.
- Where are the "ID as [browser of your choice]" menu entries? I sometimes need them!
- The Flash movie on http://www.iview-multimedia.com home page is still obscuring the menu; I'd like to test what happens when I ID as IE (with this setting it worked before), but see above.
- http://www.openphotographyforums.com : wrongly rendered, there should be a brown bar right beneath the menu, to the left and right of the photo. Was in order before.
