After installing this weekly, all IRC inline styling is ignored. All colors is black and exit/enters messages in purple instead of green.
I fix this issue by replacing current im.css with im.css from opera 9 final and it helps.
Confirmed.
You can get different Opera Chat styles here, also.

using large Windows fonts the zoom combo box is too small. The visible text is truncated (00%).
Some pages show extra pixel lines during scrolloing when using zoom (e.g. 120%). This also includes this page. I think the smaller the font is the more often it happens.

If Opera Community wants to do something different than FireFox does it needs something original and useful and not just some foolish ideas...
About Bugs:
1. Google Calendar doesn't work in Opera
2. Yahoo Mail Beta also doesn't work
3. Torec.Net isn't displayed properly
4. Tipo.Co.IL isn't displayed properly and there also are problems with flash(it's very slow)
5. Nana.co.il - The news that are done with Javascript run very slowly, there is no scrollbar. but scrolling works, flash runs very slowly...
That's it for tonight(I have the Windows Build)

In fact middle click to close and move on to the next tab - you may very well end up closing the wrong tab because of the click delay.
This happens to me on two different WinXP machines, one straight 9.0, one current build.

bug 214435: ok
"We cannot reproduce bug 215629." Not 215619? I think that only there may be to font problem (#215619 interia.pl bug right?). When I trying change the font sizes, nothing happen to that site, size is the same. (I changed all fonts in opera:config#Fonts). Same in Author and User presentation modes. Changing the style of font doesn't help. Anything I do text is cut in that div. :/

@ICQ_Eagle, you are very vague.
@zix: also very vague. On several yahoo sites there are problems, and the results you get depend on browser ID. We have contacts at Yahoo nowadays, some things have to be fixed on their end. But that takes time.
@solidox: did you file bug reports? Are the problems regressions from Opera 9.00, from 8.5x, or not? Are the problems big or small? (never mind about filing bugs for Google Calendar and Yahoo Mail BTW, we've got reports on these).
@chetto: yes, that 'large fonts' issue has been with us for a long time.

Many site problems seem to be caused by changed JS in 9.0. Many of these are banking sites etc, but obviously nobody can give you access to his account in order to test.
But there are also other examples like this one:
http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3272537,00.html
Scroll down until you see the comments of people, usually these open when clicking on them. Also this worked just fine in 8.54 and still does in every other browser. In 9.0 and 9.01 simply nothing happens.
I am a software developer myself, so if you gimme the sources and the old 8.54 JS engine then I can try it for you and report the result.

Very annoying bug which affects some widgets:
213364 - Focus or event issue with widgets (ANNOYING!!!)
I think it's even worse since few builds. I need to click three times or double click for click to be registered in widget.
This should be fixed for next stable release IMO.
Is widget developer on holiday or what?
Serious usability regression in UI
219267 - Not possible to reveal dropdown menu of search engines
In fact, you can reveal it with alt+down but still can't move with arrows.
Minor annoyances:
215755 - Flickering favicon and wrong pointer on image rollover (ugly)
214789 - Adobe.com horizontal scrollbar problem (BiDi, or how it's called, issue?)
Breaks something in polish bank:
217265 - Java Applet not loaded when width and height set to 0 (probably breaks some functionality in polish bank - mBank)
Long standing bugs:
206049 - Opera window activation focus issue (pain in the...)
208625 - Constant querying of downloaded files (causes performance issues for some)
209069 - Problem with drag&select in select elements (windows only?)
209019 - Text impossible to select testcases: one, two, three (basic functionality, yet not working very well)
and more...

On windows:
I can't log in (http://www.iwbank.it)
I can't log in (http://mail.tiscali.it)
I can't wiew calendar in personal area (www.statistiche.it)
So, i use the best browser of the web, most useful and the best in security but... i have to use IE or FF (all bad in security) when security is more needed (bank, e-mail or personal data).
It's not good... is very bad!!!
Please, give me a browser having the same usability of IE and FF and i will be a very happy man.
Thank you.
Ciao, Igor

DIMEXmd was swearing Opera and it's users. At least a warning would be in order.
@DIMEXmd: If you don't like Opera try other browsers and lose security, customizability, standards support, accessibility etc.
And I certainly don't appreciate being sweared for using a superior browser.
Paul Skinner # 7. July 2006, 23:07
Adobe.com
Apple.com/uk
Virginradio.co.uk
They all have crappy side effects from the new JavaScript engine.
Two have horizontal scroll bars, and one flicks sideways quickly every 4 seconds or so (I'll leave you to test which ones do which).
All are big name sites, especially in the UK.
All of the above worked fine in Opera 8.54
Any chance of some fixes?

I haven't checked on this for a while, but it seems 2 b still present.
1. go to
Help -> About Opera
2. search for "pro"
3. note that pro is highlighted in "grey"
4. Toggle between "Author mode" and "User mode"
Shift + G
5. scroll down the page
note the oddness in the highlighting
on my system:
"pr" is highlighted
6. try to search for "pro"
press F3
note that NOTHING happens
7. now press ESC or click mouse button in the window to get Opera to change focus.
8. search for "pro"
now it works.
9. go back to author mode - Shift + G
note the odd highlighting
on my system:
progr profile\opera
produ Project for use in the Op
are some examples of the odd highlighting

Regression from Opera 8.54
Also Opera 8 and 9 can't open this link with some locations:
http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=yp.YA67807547~yp.YA112103542~yp.YA50690871~yp.YA140137751
Why is that? I tried also mask or identify as IE or Mozilla - no good.
Robert Błaut # 8. July 2006, 06:14
No, #215917 was reported over two weeks ago. Additionally Moose notes that it's a known bug: http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=144730 So you know about it much longer for sure. The bug reported yesterday is probably related to #215917. Generally it's said to say but table handling or rather error handling in tables are deeply broken in Opera 9

As far as I can tell, the only way to get user CSS working in v9 (or 9.01) is to copy your user CSS file into the Local CSS Files Directory (styles\user dir under your profile). If you do, it'll appear on the menu and work, but will be referenced by the filename only.
The way it's supposed to work: Create a [Local CSS Files] section in opera6.ini (as shown here: http://operawiki.info/OperaUserCSS) and specify the correct path for your file (or any other path where the file resides). You also give it a proper name there.
However, any user CSS listed in [Local CSS Files] in opera6.ini is ignored, unless there's some stupendous trick to it in v9.
Yes, I've ensured "My style sheet" is enabled in author mode (the default now anyway).

Example: www.iview-multimedia.com still has the mcentral movie covering up the menu when ID'ing as Opera or Mozilla, works as ID = IE; did work in 8.xx.
Not quite sure - haven't found any example at all - if the interactivity thingy I reported on polls with www.spiegel.de is sorted.

And second, I notice that the performance of Flash movies is worse in Opera compared to IE of FF for example on
http://www.club-noa.nl/gallery/ or
http://www.club-noa.nl/
Tolque53 # 8. July 2006, 10:23
Cannot even go to site to change site preferences.
Site loads http://www.writely.com/?action=unsupported_browser,
which does not display anything.
Dierk Haasis # 8. July 2006, 11:03
Thanks, exchanged the values, now it works. Which weekly will see the correct wording? BTW, like Expiry (Hours) the other one should get an explanatory term, 'Expiry (Days)'; easier for the user.

Thank you very much!!!
p.s. I haven't checked in Windows yet, but it was not platform dependant, so...
p.p.s. Have you noticed that Opera catches some multimedia keyboard buttons when it's focused (and why the hell would a browser catch the multimedia buttons)? On my keyboard it catches "Next", "Prev", "Play/pause" and "Stop", but it doesn't catch "vol+", "vol-" and "mute". This way I can't use the buttons properly when I'm using Opera. This is in Windows, in Linux it doesn't (Linux handles those buttons in a completely different way).
Musikolo # 8. July 2006, 11:21
There is still an old bug (since Opera 8.x) not fixed yet: this page (http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=134420) is not rendered suitably. However, I must say that although applet rendering have improved, it needs a deeper revision.
Keep on making this navigator the best of the World!
OperaNoobie # 8. July 2006, 11:35
clean install using Classic installer on WinXP
I still cannot log into my banking account on their secure page at https://online.elancard.com
The javascript firing button does nothing. Plus, the login fails when using the keyboard instead of javascript button to submit the form.
With previous builds, the JS button was not clickable if JS was turned off globally and on for this site, but at least was clickable when JS was on globally. Even so, Opera was unable to login to the site and I get redirected to a "experiencing technical difficulties" page that DOESN'T happen when using FIREFOX, SEAMONKEY OR IE.
With this build, it doesn't matter if JS is on globally, or on for this site and off globally. It doesn't work. The JS button isn't clickable.
The button uses JS in the link as follows:
"a href='javascript:if (acceptsCookies()) {ValidateAndSubmit(document.form1,"ElanLogonRequest");setCookie("outOfSession","tryLogon");} else {cookieAlert();}'"
Please fix the JS issues in Opera. I really would like to adopt Opera as my primary and ONLY browser, but these problems make that impossible, and I keep having to turn back to Firefox, seamonkey or IE. I hope the developers read these posts.
tjeerd # 8. July 2006, 11:46
b.t.w. I had to use FireFox to submit this comment. Submitting with Opera did not work for some reason
