The log-in-showing-only-upon-reload problem is still there.

I am permanently logged-in to Roger Ebert's site but will only be shown such when I reload the freshly loaded frontpage.

OTOH, I was able to read Salon.com on a free site pass - let's see how this goes over the next few days ...

Why again are the Open in New Tab and Ope in Background Tab entries of the context-menu for folders in the Hotlist greyed out, hence, disabled?

CZ_Vilda Friday, July 21, 2006 3:15:59 PM

First.
From verison 9.00 (windows) I am not able to open Opera with no pages(tabs). Its stupid. When i click on any link at system, Opera (as default browser) opens with two tabs. First empty and second with link i have clicked. Please return back this option.

Second.
From version 9.00 when Im downloading (ie .pdf) and i click to open it (not to save), it saves in folder i declare in options, but after close the document (.pdf) Opera removes the file. Its makes me trouble, because I am used to browse manuals downloaded form net this way and at the same time Opera store them in folder (ie c:\temp) and I am able to read them again (and not searchig by google again). Please return this feature back, or make a new button in download dialog named "save to temp and open". Please please.

Try to be different. That is why im using Opera (and many users around me too). Trying to be like Firefox is way to be like IE.

Thanks

Vilda

Dwnldin'

Let's с what guys have improved and fixed.

By the way... In all several previous betas-finals-weeklies I haf printing problems from the "print preview" mode.

If there's 1 page in the document 2 b printed the printing process freezes. U have 2 restart Opera.

When there r few pages usually ev'rything goes ok.

Sometimes, though, attempts 2 print from the "print preview" mode with no respect 2 how many pages there r in the doc crash Opera.

Hey, this finally works with our proxy!
Good work! smile

FataL Friday, July 21, 2006 3:26:22 PM

I would like to say that NTLM authorization now working for me, but it is not. sad
It still not accepting my login and password and throwing at me authorization dialog again and again.
Some details:
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • https
  • TLS v1.0 128 bit ARC4 (1024 bit RSA/MD5)

PM me if you need more details.

MrFrodo Friday, July 21, 2006 3:29:36 PM

Went to this page:
http://snapshot.opera.com/mac/
looking for what changed this time around.

Will this be updated anytime soon? Seems a bit behind.

Bill PBill_P Friday, July 21, 2006 3:30:01 PM

The Pandora widget totally does NOT work in Suse Linux. It dl's and when started the widget (except the top and right borders) turns white and does nothing. Dudes it's the only widget that is essential

This is customizable, IMHO, @ opera:config#UserPrefs|AllowEmptyWorkspace. Just check it.

Still probs with Flash 9 in this build (i.e. interactive elements on TV.com not working, sometimes elements not loading completely).

FataL Friday, July 21, 2006 3:33:07 PM

Woo-ho! News on Gazeta.ru now works! Thanks! Still doesn't work - needs refresh. I "fixed" problem by disabling inline frames for this site. down

Hover bug (regression) still there. It makes my page layout jumping when you try to put cursor in search field.

Other annoyances that still there:

gilb Friday, July 21, 2006 3:34:17 PM

Hi thank for your great job.

(sorry for my poor english)

Can't delete IMAP message on server after deleting message in Opera basket

Tim AltmanJunyor Friday, July 21, 2006 3:36:44 PM

@MrFrodo: Snapshot doesn't contain information about weekly builds.

cedricpc Friday, July 21, 2006 3:43:57 PM

Hi,

Some flash games are still slow... As usual!

And why not put an option to choose if we want to have the date of last visit or the title (or the URL sometime?! oO) in the Address Bar for the visited addresses? Because if the URL and the title are too long, it's ugly (or even unreadable)...

But good job. bigsmile

(Sorry for my English... p I don't speak english very well.)

g4qb Friday, July 21, 2006 3:48:13 PM

still prob with toggle between author & user mode & searching.

have to press ESC before it works properly.

I guess this is good because it gives one feed back when changing modes.

1. Help -> About Opera
2. search for "pro" - F3, type in "pro", <Enter>
3. toggle to user mode - Shift-G
4. press F3

nothing until:
5. press ESC
6. F3 OK.

7. toggle back to author mode - Shift-G
8. press F3

nothing until:
9. press ESC
10. F3 OK.

stenosissteno Friday, July 21, 2006 3:49:43 PM

Bug #221548

Joey WaghWajo357 Friday, July 21, 2006 4:01:30 PM

tformers.com still renders improperly (regression from beta1)
my https ntlm still does not work. Worked in 8.5

bib1963 Friday, July 21, 2006 4:07:59 PM

Still fails the Acid2 test.
Minimum font size set to 13 and is gets corrupted.
Scrolling should not work but it does, and it leaves bits behind.

Lito Friday, July 21, 2006 4:38:40 PM

Thank you for fixing the pasting from notes bug. Bug-220412 persists though.

Benjamin Joffe Friday, July 21, 2006 4:40:15 PM

Any improvements to widgets is something I like to hear. I can definantly notice a huge improvement on the responsivity to my "The Colours of the Rainbow" widget.

Andresandresruiz Friday, July 21, 2006 4:49:56 PM

Hi tks a lot

I'm new using opera mail manager, i think that one of the most important things about a POP mail is the posibility of asking for delivery and read confirmations. On web mail I can check 2 boxes, one for "delivery confirmation" and other for "read confirmation" but in Opera I don't have that, can you please add support for that important feature ??

Please ?

I don't want to Install MS Outlook again please !!!

Tks

Soleen Friday, July 21, 2006 4:57:13 PM

FataL: Woo-ho! News on Gazeta.ru now works! Thanks!

Still can't open it! Did you do a fresh install
http://www.gazeta.ru/lenta.shtml
:-(

FataL Friday, July 21, 2006 4:58:44 PM

@Soleen: It works for me in this build. All text appears from the first load - no need for refresh anymore.

ableza Friday, July 21, 2006 5:02:12 PM

I'm still having the exact same problem as Krusha:
http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/show.dml/363893#comment1887031

I can never be quite certain when print preview will crash Opera, so I don't use it as much as I would like. I have also had Opera crash when doing a standard print (CTRL+P), though not as frequent.

I'm hoping someone can help sort this out. If it's something on my end, I'd happily fix it.

Soleen Friday, July 21, 2006 5:04:05 PM

Nope, does not work for me, just did a totally fresh install, in a spearate directory. Went to http://www.gazeta.ru/lenta.shtml and the page contenet does not appear, even if I do refreshes!

ableza Friday, July 21, 2006 5:07:33 PM

A second problem I've been having:

On web pages like Amazon I get greasemonkey autocomplete scripting errors which I can't resolve. I don't get the errors when viewing the same pages with IE. Is it an issue with the Opera build or is there a separate fix?

sebt Friday, July 21, 2006 5:20:05 PM

http://www.royalmail.com is broken. None of the links or controls on the front page work in Opera.

Confirm?

Seb smile

witit Friday, July 21, 2006 5:23:13 PM

Strange! My google adsense report > overview > adsense for content > top channels dropdown window immediately closes itself when clicked open. It should have stayed open until clicked again.

Twilo Friday, July 21, 2006 5:25:14 PM

I love Opera :-)

Kenneth Crudupkennycrudup Friday, July 21, 2006 5:25:54 PM

The regression in the Linux build over the last two (or three) weeklies where if you "Open" an image, then try to save it by using "right-click/Save-As" but it won't put up a file dialog, is still there. sad
