I started 3 builds ago, and when I choose update in the new installer Opera is displayed more than once in the "Add/remove programs" section in Windows. Now it is there 3 times.

appears, and I click on Open, e.g. to open a wmv file
in the Windows mediaplayer, the Open/Download dialogue
does not go away until I close the tab.
Next problem, but not new: When a MIME type is configured
to open the Windows media player and direct the data to
it, Opera starts to load the HTTP data anyway, but
then stops it when the media player is launched. When
I try to save the WMV file later (e.g. using "save
target" in the right-click menu), only the small fragment
in Opera's cache is saved to disk. I will have to click
Resume in the transfer window to save the complete file.
Cheers, Herwig

NTLM authorization now works for me! BIG thanks to all Opera devs. Great work!

The search on sites with frames is also less than optimal as i can't choose the frame where i search, it always starts in the first frame and i have to cycle through all results in that frame before getting to the next :-( especially annoying on the java api site.

But I'm still having one problem.
Submitting a form in NTLM pages are still not working. It's giving me an error "Bad Request (Invalid Verb)".
Dierk Haasis # 28. July 2006, 15:22
I'd like to promote Opera by ID'ing as Opera, but if it hinders me from using sites ...
*Only recently has iView been taken over by MS, the site design is not particularly oriented towards closing out other browser tan IE.
Twilo # 28. July 2006, 15:27
thanks for Opera

Really, I'd like to know how you developers manage to sleep at night knowing full well that this issue has reduced the efficiency of my web browsing by approximately 0.0031%.
It's a damn shame I tell you.

thanks for all the work!
Unfortunately the "freeze" problem still exists.
After surfing a couple of sites Opera freezes for ~20sec (i.e. not responding).
The same issue has been reported by other users :-(
It seems to happen on arbitrary web sites, after a few minutes of usage.
Notice that the "freeze" does not happen in build 8460.
And one enhancement request:
would it be possible to let the user adjust the size of the search field (on the right of the address bar) ?
When using a wide screen monitor the current search field is much too narrow. It would be great to have an user-adjustable width (i.e, just by dragging the separator).
thanks!

Also in that image, the alignment is off which causes the gtalk part (when it is working) to be thinner than it should be and the Status box cannot even display all of the text that it needs to. Example it says something like "Set Status He" and the "re" gets cut off cause it isn't wide enough.
I've mentioned these bugs several times now, so I just reported them as bugs. The gtalk not displaying bug is "bug-222610@bugs.opera.com" and the alignment bug is "bug-222611@bugs.opera.com".
Can anyone tell me...has the flickering icon bug been reported yet? I don't want to duplicate the bug report, but if it hasn't been filed yet I'll file one. It bothers me that the icons flicker in the address bar and the tab and also that the cursor changes from a hand on the hyperlink images to a pointer on the hyperlink images. My Opera visitor won't know if it is a hyperlink or just a neat animation when they mouse over.
EDIT:
Here is a test page for the flickering icon bug, I will leave it up on my server for 2 weeks or so as an example...

Empty start(no pages loaded) ~80 mb
8 tabs opened(incl, digg.com, desktopteam, cgtalk,warp2search....) with commercial blocked ~110mb of RAM + ~120 mb of virtual memory.
OUCH!!!
More than double the memory consumption than previous build.

1. I am unable to persistently log in to Amazon sites (de, com, co.uk); the British site doesn't log me in at all. When logged in to Germany or the US I have to do it again the next visit (if Opera had been closed in between.
2. I have the status bar on top just under my toolbar. I use Dynamic Spacers (originally two, just tried three: no change) to get the URL shown there over to the right. Until the last build it worked, with this buzild the URL is shown right after the first spacer. Works a little better with on DS, the URL is than shown starting in the middle.
3. When starting Opera I get an error:
[Edit]
This error was a strange one in so far as Opera decided to build a message base and index files although M2 has never been used by me. No idea why it did that.

why does 9.0x reload the image from the server and not from the cache like opera til 8.54 did? even switching to offline mode doesnt help.
what about a bit more of: less features but more reliability (like opera 5 and 6, since 7 its getting down from "final" to final")?

My mail folder is about 120Mb.
When i had made install (over my old beta), my opera became inaccessible.
Then i made uninstall and installed it again.
It's useless.
Now it doesn't response to me.
Version 9.01
Build 8552
Platform Win32
System Windows XP
Java Java not installed
XHTML+Voice Plug-in not loaded
Does it rebuild any mail-index-tables?
upd: i change default mail folder in options to non-existed one, and opera is working!
upd2: It's OK now. Probably during uninstalling folder mail/index was deleted. I found many links to files in that folder. So i created it 'by hands'. That's the answer.

Why don't we have an option with the posting textarea that says some thing like...
This message is:
(o) Stating a Bug and it's effects
(o) Replying to a previous post about a bug
(o) Other. (random message)
...and color code these specific posts according to their type so that when we read thru the posts we can find where people state bugs faster and then find bug responses and skip over the unimportant posts. I just feel like some bug reports on here get looked over sometimes and never seen, especially if it is reported on the 1st or 2nd page (chaotic pages, lol).
