Sunday build
By olli. Sunday, 15. November 2009, 11:05:52
Hey
Several people have mentioned that when restarting Opera the Unite applications do not restart. We have a possible fix.. So please take it for a spin and see if it caused any regressions.

Even though the changelog is not really interesting for me as I don't actually use Unite (except for testing), I really appreciate that you provide a build on a sunday!

And I think this definitely means we will see a final next week. If you would wait a week extra you should have released a extra RC tomorrow.

I hope so, as when Unite is finally released, there's again time and esp. resources to concentrate on - for me personally - more important things like polishing some old features, fixing very old (and also only recently introduced) bugs etc. etc. However I wish you the very best success with Unite, and I'm sure that many users will absolutely love it

Everything works fine here

(the site wastes more than half of the available real estate here though, but it does the same in other browsers too, so I guess that's intended beviour...)

still doesn't leave a good impression...
btw, are there any other changes between 1874 and 1878 except Unite restart behaviour?

Unite is also very slow to start, but all applications that I had running start eventually.

Noticed that too, as for quite a long time after start, the "Enable Unite" item was grayed out here. First thought I couldn't start Unite and started looking at my settings, then I realized that it just took quite some time to start.

This one fix restarting bug for Unite applications, here (Win XP).
I'm using startup dialog with "restart Unite" option checked and after a 45 seconds delay, all applications in Unite are re-started correctly.
Opera Link seems to be activated faster (only 5 to 10 seconds after Opera restart) than Unite. Is it a "by design" behaviour ?
