About me
A veteran technical services & systems support engineer, my current activities beyond actively seeking employment, include Freelance Consulting as a Technology Activist.I've chosen to assist local community members or businesses become successful and to:
1. Understand modern Internet tools;
2. Deploy & manage complex systems;
3. Achieve business or personal goals.
My work
My career humbly diverged from the norm while a Krupp Foundation exchange student at one of Stanford University's many overseas campuses. I decided it would be prudent to hone my Software Development skills, taking on a reverse engineering project to integrate speech recognition with a PBX system manufactured by Nixdorf Microprocessor Engineering, GmbH, in West Berlin.The following year was marked by a considerably more inebriated, yet highly productive, summer stint with the Technical Support group at Oracle Deutschland, GmbH, in Munich. I was unknowingly introduced to my new career when I volunteered to accompany a salesman to a meeting where we smoked, sipped coffee and worked out the details of BMW's impending switch to the Oracle RDBMS. Remember, this is 1989 and my hesitation to light up, earned me a suspicious glance, that I quickly countered by offering my Bic lighter to our host!
Salient hindsight: I merely followed the instructions and advice given me prior to the meeting; it NEVER occurred to me consider the magnitude and scope of the business dealings taking place that I was ever so fortunate to take part in!
So, here I am with an extensive background supporting Telecomm, Databases, Email Appliances, Web Applications, Message Gateways, Printing & Publishing technologies and various network server operating systems, both B2C and B2B. Factor in natural Salesmanship, retail & corporate, and you've got me:
Jack-of-all-Trades whose got IT, so mysterious, so appealing and so sultry..., like Clara Bow: http://www.library.csi.cuny.edu/dept/history/lavender/386/cbow.html
(That's humor, folks.)

Why I choose the Opera browser
It's really, really fast; and, the Opera folks claim it's the most secure browser technology in existence. As a technical support engineer, quasi web services engineer and pseudo-software developer, I have to keep as many browsers installed on my system, in order to test online ad code and debug specific browser issues.
