Good news everyone! We've fixed bugs and cleaned up My Opera a bit.:up:

  • Wrong formatting in EXIF image properties is now fixed (text was garbled... but not anymore).
  • You are now able to view group statistics again (total visitors to your blog and photo album) from the group account.
  • Those who had an empty friends list in the blog sidebar should not feel so lonely anymore.
  • We've updated the friends list to display:
    • name
    • status,
    • location in that order.
  • Group moderators are now able to edit user comments in blog posts (no more access denied).
  • All icons in the shoutbox are now right aligned.
  • Watched items now correctly dissapears when you've read the item.
  • Fixed security issue related to the Blog API.
  • We've fixed some problems related to image upload.

We're preparing for a big release in October with a lot of cool stuff, so stay tuned. :smile:

Watched items now correctly dissapears when you've read the item.

It's still happening here :frown: The My Opera September 2007 Release Changelog is still in my Watched Items (even after replying here).

hm the poll on the right side is missing my favourite error: "Unexpected error" - I'm still waiting to see the message "An expected error occurred. Nothing to worry about, we just wanted to keep you posted."

I clicked the image link + the text (which opened correct url) but still I had to Mark all as read to clear it.

All settings are set correctly in the Group Account.

New items for the blogs of groups aren't working correctly (eg the Desktop blog and the ChooseOpera blog). The link refers to the poster of the entry instead of the group.

So this :

http://my.opera.com/Lawmune/watch/blog.pl?blogger=Lawmune&bloggerid=34454&blogpostid=1371900&n=2

turns into this :

http://my.opera.com/Lawmune/blog/show.dml/1371900

which is a blank page, and this :

http://my.opera.com/toman/watch/blog.pl?blogger=toman&bloggerid=8497&blogpostid=1371210&n=1

turns into this :

http://my.opera.com/toman/blog/2007/09/28/snapshot-extravaganza

which returns a 404 error.

Replacing Lawmune with ChooseOpera in the transformed first link works, and similarly Toman with DesktopTeam in the second.

I don't think somebody cares but these are the current problems I am having on MyOpera:

1. Can't delete two mp3 files from the file archive.
It happened weeks ago. Still there.
Probably related to the file name.

2. Can't upload some files on the archive.
It happened some days ago.
Probably related to the file size.

3. Can't see anymore images added to comments as "img src".
Happened lately, probably due to recent changes to MyOpera.

4. Can't delete PMs.
Happened lately, probably due to recent changes to MyOpera.

Every day something get screwed. I post on the forum and I don't get any feedback. Please somebody tell me what I should do.

The watch list is still sort of broken for Mini 3.1. Unless we both comment, then press back and reload the watch page, viewed new items stay there the next time we go to the watch list. Weirdness.

Safari doesn't open my blog with templates anymore--I just get everything plain. This is since last week. Templates are viewable through the IE browser I use at work. Did something get changed regarding Mac users?

Anyone notice that the sidebar calender does not work in groups? Blog postings do not register on hyperlink days of the month.

You can see the problem on this blog (no hyperlinks on the calendar to filter postings by day).

Feedback: I don't like Opera Bookmarks as well as Firefox. In fact, I haven't learned how to use Opera bookmark file yet so I don't use it, instead opening Firefox to access a bookmark. :confused:

At present I am having difficulty saving a new blog message, i. e. I cannot save it at all: The monkeys .... etc.
And as someone wrote recently: It is a pity to have written a message that just goes away. Well, I have hidden it somewhere else until it works. But it sure is.

It's being worked on. They're having database problems as well as bugs introduced in the latest update, but they're working on both securing the fixes and restoring the newly broken things to normal.

Things do take their time, of course. Now I can save, but when I afterwards want to log out the "monkeys" that Opera always refer to cannot help me further. So now it´s the log-out process after writing and saving the blog entry that prohibits others from actually seeing and reading the entry.
I wrote about that also 8 hours ago.

And on the next day it still does not work. So for the sake of my friends in real life I suppose another blog must be found so that they can read it.

You don't actually have to be logged out for people to read your posts. As soon as you've saved the post it's "live" and can be read. And the error message may appear, but it does log you out if you don't click the remember me checkbox.

Trouble is that when afterwards I open the blog from outside as if I was just someone wanting to read the blog it simply does not show the new entry that I wrote. Even if I saved it.
That is the case also after having closed Opera totally and re-opened the browser.
I tried to delete the entry and write another and save that. But it is not shown.

Oh that. It's a database problem. One is having problems. Luckily they're making sure those of us logged in aren't the ones having the problems. Get your friends to sign up and they'll be able to read it no problem.
:up: Either way there's a fix on it's way.
