my wish list...

could there be a little box where our "community" could have a live chat on our own pages? and that "our" community would know that we were online or not and it have a mechanism to switch off if we didn´t feel like chatting? A sort of instant messenger?

just an idea... :D

Native language packs for at least official foreign language forums. It's my wish.

what else would be cool is an automatic translating machine! :D

-The possibility to edit the templatey of the styles on my own
-restrict access to photo-albums with a password
-Possibility to hide some photo-albums on the personal blog(/home)-page (I mean the right bar where photos are shown in a slideshow)

+1 to Language support. thats the only thing that is keeping my friends and relatives to move to my opera community

I would like to see some flickr functionality like adding a picture to my.opera blog from flickr through "blog this" button. I guess it is more of a flickr problem, but is there anything my.opera folk can do?

Another +1 would be on complete customization of user pages available to regular users and not only to CSS power coders... Yeah, a real +1 here!

I'd like to see an integration between the Community site and Opera browser so that our 300MB (more to come?) can besome an extension of our dekstops. We could then use widgets to do some work (whatever the widget is) and save it to our Community pages, share it when necessary and access it form anywhere.

:smile:

I agree to the last comment from lsaplai. That's a great idea!

Deeper A-Z breaks on blogs.

When I wondered if there were more Opera blogs (like Desktop, server team), I skipped to O -- and still had 38 pages. (Since OP wasn't in the first 10, I couldn't have skipped straight to it even if I had known.)

Searching for Opera (even after I found blog search on the tags page) (predictably) returned way too many results.

At 1st place, sry about my english, I can't speak very well.

- More languages My Opera (like portuguese, spanish,...)
- More designs of skins
- A subdomain to community, for don't make confusion with users, like http://my.opera.com/community/nameofcommunity

That's all, good luck for all of you!

Allow filtering based on bloglanguage. The Blogs frontpage is usually 91% jibberish which makes it a page you never visit.

By Mr Green, # 6. September 2006, 07:38:11

- Filter posts and blogs by language
- More blog themes
- Multilanguage support for Opera and MyOpera sites
- Add automatically to Friends who has joined by your invitation (!)

Multilanguage.

I want MyOpera in french :smile:.

Translating my.opera and opera.com to many languages seems somewhat far-fetched.

+1 for the possibility to translate the Communities' user interface :-)

I'd be interested to have something like OpenID so that we could use our Opera Blog identity to post on other blog sites.

I'll vote too for filtering blogs by language.

Allow animated gifs in blogs, and also embed personal vidclips in blog...you can do it from youtube etc, but not from your own uploaded files.

Filter blogs by language.

"Please allow non members also post comments"
It's still possible for non-registered useres to comment blog-posts:
Preferences-->Blog settings-->Allow anonymous comments?

The option to pay for extra space....my 300mb will be all used up one day! I want more!

By garydenness, # 7. September 2006, 12:03:04

My wish:
because I don't like animated member avatars in the comments within my blog, should we have the option, to allow or to stop such animated avatars.

That would be very nice ***

- Notification for comments on Customize section and Widgets pages

By babox, # 8. September 2006, 11:09:31

1. Isaplai idea: Drag & Drop interface with "unneeded" features as tagging and album (for images).
2. Some kind of backup.
3. This will be a hard one, but about WordPress Widget-like options for the templates? http://automattic.com/code/widgets/

I'd like to be able to send *.3GP movies(from my cell phone) via MMS to my blog, so that they would get embedded in the post.

i'd like to have statistics. *lots* of statistics.

* how many visits
* male/female ratio :smile:
* country statistics in the blog map
* updated map!
* filter functionality (create filter with certain criteria) in my own blog.
* a sse chat on my site :wink:

By NoobSaibot, # 8. September 2006, 13:14:54

some other wish :
* Change the appearing order of albums
* More way to import photos. As a Mac user I advice a plugin for iPhoto and/or a dashboard Widget.
Maybe an opera panel or an opera widget might also do the trick. But if there are more ways to import photos than it's easyer for people to use the myopera community :smile:
* search through all blogs

Ability to post video blogs or video albums. I'd like to share some short films with family and friends.

Sparkster: changing order of albums: excellent idea. It could work the same way than pictures within an album.

On the Edit / Sort photos pages, a SAVE button at the top of the page!

By lsaplai, # 8. September 2006, 17:22:25

avatar
...another wish P:

- Possibility to delete forum posts

By babox, # 8. September 2006, 21:25:15

avatar
My Wish List:

1-------an easy way to backup all my posts and can be downloaded to my disk.

2------Sidebar can be customized not just able to add links.

By kerby2008, # 10. September 2006, 06:27:14

On the Blog pages, there should be an indication of the date and time of posts so that we can know how "new" they are.

By lsaplai, # 10. September 2006, 06:46:57

More integration with the Opera browser. (any integration with the opera browser at all) (not counting browsing P:)
Ability to integrate videos into the blog..
Maybe being able to upload at least one file to the "root" user page (http://my.opera.com/user/) so I can add the blog to Google Webmaster tools and so..

By rafaelinux, # 10. September 2006, 22:49:36

Integrate Opera mail (which currently sucks) with my.opera. It's just a not very well thought through idea though :wink: .

By Jadd, # 11. September 2006, 12:25:14

In the widgets section of the site, each widget has its own comments section, I think that the creator of the widget should be able to edit his own comments there for an indefinate period because often the wiget may be updated in the future and the comments provided by the author will be outdated (no longer applicable) and require editing.

By Benjamin Joffe, # 12. September 2006, 16:16:18

-Full directory of files on the "New blog post" page.

In "My Files" a have various directories (/UAM, /VG) and when I post, in the bottom right panel only appears the /blog directory.

-Detailed statistics.

For day, week, etc. and Blog or Photo Album (not together).

Thanks for reading.

The ability to search the blogs from within my.opera, instead of having to go to google and type site:my.opera.com. There should be a search tab here.

By Jadd, # 29. September 2006, 11:10:33

Jadd, we used to have a blogs search but we have temporarily removed it because of server performance issues. It will be back once the problems are solved..

It it would be kewell if you could give us some way to 'group' by alpha-sort or by subect or first-line sort, links within one's own page. For instance...

if I presently create a new link category and call it, say, "Poems About Programmers" (just joking!) and then under that category store all the poems I wrote on that 'theme', I cannot do any 'sort' process. In fact I cannot do any 'sort' process on any links at all. When they are entered, at the moment, they just take their place on my links page as they are saved, and that's that. Any chance of doing something about 'sorting' in general? It would be also kewell to be able to sort Archives, as an option, by first line,etc.

Ok... I am the only one who wants this :lol:
.... but on the specific question of facilitating a 'sorting' process on one's own Links I hope you will consider my request. Thanks :cheers:
