Mac vs. PC

NOW, want to know how to really get things done? .. . ..
PC - Vista, on a Toshiba P305D laptop AMD64 3GB picked up at Circuit City, is still very precarious. The video drivers and updates can break Vista in such a way as to make multimedia useless.
Here's how the IT stuff plays out. You are in the middle of using Windows Vista Home Premium and your video stops, then restarts itself multiple times (five in my case), screen flashing each time, with a message telling you the video driver's stopped responding. Then Nothing, then ... CRASH! Blue screen with stuff that doesn't make sense to regula humans.
YOUR SYSTEM HAS STOPPED RESPONDING IN A WAY THAT MAY DAMAGE YOUR SYSTEM... etc etc
The truth is out there - Microsoft Windows Vista actually really does suck. Still.
I bought this Toshiba on the faith that Steve Balmer has fixed everything, the funny Mac commercials are just entertainment, and Toshiba would not let me spend $695.49 on a machine that would crash on Steve's OS several times the night I bought it. BIG BIG Dirty Core Dump Crash, can't even watch Phantom Menace DVD.
To say the least, I am pissed. $700 lost still makes me mad. On the practical side, I am writing this blog on a brand new Apple MacBook that I picked up tonight that is running fine.
