Opera Mini Gets Slashdotted

The open source gurus at Slashdot got in another round with Opera and the Opera mini for mobile devices.

Citing the Reuters report (see earlier post on this blog) the denizens at Slashdot have some pretty interesting comments and seem to have set aside, at least for now, the usual remarks that compare Opera to Firefox.

Maybe this is an omen for the new year?

Where on earth did I sling mud? My post about Opera buying Opera was a parody aimed at bloggers and did not criticize Opera. If there's mud in the air, it originated at this post. As I've said at least a dozen times now, I consider Firefox and Opera to be on the same side.
