Some things that you may want to consider when picking a location for your puppy is whether or not they will have easy access to the area or even if there is proper and safe yard space for them to go outside to.

For training your Havanese to go inside, you first want to select an area of your home where the puppy can get to easily, but yet out of the way of foot traffic and out of all eating areas. Once that area is found, place a plastic puppy litter box, lined with absorbent pads. By gently and continuously taking your puppy to that location for their elimination, they will soon catch on and do it themselves.

With either way or location, your Havanese potty training should go smoothly. The biggest part of successful training comes from you, the owner. You must be consistent and never show signs of anger or stress if your puppy has an accident. You want this to be an easy process for both you and your Havanese. Do not give up. Remember, just like people, every puppy has their own personality.

Like children, your puppy needs to know that you are supportive of them and that you are proud of their accomplishments. So, it is very important to remain consistent at all times and to never forget to give praise when praise is due. Before you know it your Havanese will be completely house broken and the stress of training will be a thing of the past and you will barely even remember it.
