Yiruma, one of my favorite! Known for his many albums, Yiruma has not only composed for himself, but for many musicals, films, and for the theatre. Though widely marketed as a new age artist, Yiruma does not describe himself as such: “I’m Christian, and I am not a New-age artist. Most people misunderstand me.”
He began playing the piano at the age of five, and moved to London when he was 11, in 1988, to study at The Purcell School of Music . In December 1996, he participated in the album The Musicians of Purcell (Decca). He graduated from Purcell School of Music in July 1997, then graduated as a composition major from King's College London in June 2000. His first album was released by DECCA while he was still studying at Kings College. During this time, he also went on a music tour throughout Europe, and composed for musicals, film and theatre.
- Someone to tell it to is one of the fundamental needs of human beings. - In the end, who among us does not choose to be a little less right to be a little less lonely. - You can kiss your family and friends good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world but a world lives in you. - Are we not like two volumes of one book? - Lust is easy. Love is hard. Like is most important. - Don't smother each other. No one can grow in the shade. - Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence. - Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving. - Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river.
