I work in the Documentation and Localization department at Opera Software. Though I work for Opera, the opinions stated herein do not necessarily represent those of my employer, just Metm.
My almost first post

This is my first blog post about localization, so bear with me.
Opera has quite a legacy when it comes to i18n, sporting over 40 languages for the Opera browser, and over 90 for Opera Mini.
I've dabbled in translation and localization for nearly a decade, and now it is my job here at Opera. I work as a localization coordinator, which I believe is a pretty accurate description of my job.
I coordinate translations, which means that I act as a liaison between our translators and our development and marketing departments here at Opera. I also make efforts towards internationalization and localization here at Opera, maintaining applications and processes.
I'm also the project lead on the Community-Driven Localization (CDL) project here at Opera. This project works with volunteers to provide translations for Opera's services, due to be launched in the very near future.
That's about it, I reckon. I will post more when there is news to be read ;-)
