My Opera Awards 2008

It's that time to recognize the true stars of the My Opera community again! As the my.opera community approaches 2 million members and ends another great Opera year we give you the opportunity to nominate your My Opera favorites before voting can begin.
By Friday November 21st nomination will close and finalists in each cateogry will be publicly announced. Same as last year, we will rely on community vote, and voting will begin Monday November 24th and last for two weeks. We will provide everyone with cool banners and graphics they can put on their blog/site to increase their winning chances.

It's been good fun starting O.W.C. As i write we have 1370 odd members and climbing, remembering we were founded in June of this year! Yet if we are to give this Opera Award bizzle the sizzle we need to vote in the thizzle...and i mean vote in our thousands! I will continue to work O.W.C. with the same commitment i have been...I love it...the company is superb and the simple fact the we are amassed from every corner of the globe, we 
by virtue cross the boundaries of culture, customs and beliefs. This baby is alive, a melting pot of hugeness. If you love this group as i do and perhaps like me you know too well that N+ Looks as good a winner as it was last year, and deservedly so, please consider this......
O.W.C. has an extrodinary constant flow of members visiting, i felt our membership really did require numbers of 1500 up to attain this turnover so as to avert boredom and when you come to visit, the chance of other members being here in real time is far greater....Well its hardly Rocket Science or Deep Brain Surgery. O.W.C. has 'topshelf' quality in it's numb3rs..

So, 1370 Odd Members?!! That is a LOT of ODD Members. And how many Regular / Sane / Non-eccentric Members do we have? And in which category am I ... Odd or Regular / Sane ?
I don't know what this N+ Group is about or how many Members they have ... and whether any of them are ODD.
Bring It On! Game On! I'm In! O.W.C.'s got MY vote! Well, at least it will when it's official time to vote. Is the voting going to be done exactly as the nominations? Via a Post thread? What's going to keep everyone legit and eliminate multiple votes? Or ARE multiple votes allowed. Or how does this work?

If i recall correctly the voting for finalists is via a private pm direct from the Opera Finalists community page post, when it is published..

That's really how the nominations should have also been.
I think more people would participate if the nominations weren't so blatantly out in the open ... causing awkwardness and discomfort for many people regarding whom they want to nominate ... without possibly coming off as dissing various Friends who didn't wind up in those Top 3 in each category.
BTW, Henry, Nah! Don't worry about your vernacular. There was nothing wrong with it. That was a perfectly common way of using "Odd." I use it myself that way. Everyone uses it that way and it is perfectly understood. I just at that particular instant couldn't help but jump on the opportunity that was there ... to generate some humor. That's all it was. I took your cue ... I took the baton and ran with it. If you ever see a cue in my comments, an opportunity to generate some humor with something I said, hey, go with it.
So, no proofreading necessary. It'll give us more opportunities to extract entertaining comments.
