I was sitting at the computer with the music blaring and one of my co-workers raced in scaring the hell out of me. "Did you hear see that?!" I told him I hadn't seen anything. There was a head-on collision just up the road (right out my window a ways actually). It doesn't look too bad. The hood on one of the trucks is crunched up and I can't see the other truck to tell how bad that one is. The police just showed up a few minutes ago and they're getting stuff sorted out. It doesn't look like anyone was hurt and there are quite a few people up there meandering around. There's one guy out there that designated himself as traffic official to help keep some sort of organization since that's a pretty busy intersection. I don't see an ambulance, so there must not be any serious injuries. I'm rather surprised they didn't call one in anyway just in case. Ah, the tow truck/wrecker showed up. I figured the one truck wouldn't be going too far since it looked like the radiator was crushed. So, yeah, that's my excitement for the day. It looks like it might be a while before they get stuff sorted out.

***I'm beginning to wonder if the self-designated traffic official has something to do with the department, since one of the other police vehicles that showed up helped him set up traffic cones and handed him a bright vest and little traffic flags. Either way he's doing a good job of directing people away from the wrecked vehicles. They're loading the one pickup right now and I'm waiting to see if they load the other one. Update in a few.

***I got busy doing something else, so I don't know if they hauled the other truck or if they drove it. They had the hood up on it for awhile, so I wasn't sure if they were able to get it going.
