one day I was walking on the bike path near my home it was a sunny afternoon warm enough to wear shorts so I went 4 a long walk nothing was amiss just the norm u would usually see but I started getting tired of walking and realized the further I walked the longer it would take 2 get home so I turned around I was about a 2hr walk from home which was normal for me but I heard a cry not a cry u would hear from a person but it was loud and seemed 2 be traveling the bike path near my house is near the water so there a nice hill that goes down before u reach the water and its full of trees and bush and there’s paths to go down so I looked for one hoping I wouldn’t lose the cry I heard after about 15mins of more walking I heard the cry again and it was actually close lol lucky me and there I saw it a little rabbit it looked so frightened and as I got closer it tried 2 get away but not like usual because it was moving slow and I seen why its ankle was red like something bit it was h0rrible because its foot was barely on Dangling and dragging as it went so I wanted 2 help it but had no idea what to do I seen that I wasn’t going to get anywhere near the rabbit so I left and went to get food there was a store not to far from the area which was good I came back and didn’t see the rabbit so I stood there looking until I seen a little tail moving under some leaves so I guess it was trying to hide I put the food on the ground near the rabbit and it turned around and started sniffing the air and stared at me like it was wondering if it should take the food without getting hurt so I backed away far enough for it to feel safe then it came out of hiding and started nibbling on the food I was happy that I could at least do that much for the animal I stayed there for a good hour just watching the rabbit after it finished the food it just stayed there looking at me and I looked at it lol I imagined that I was having a staring contest with it but it started getting late and I still had a long way to go before I got home so I got up to leave the rabbit and it started moving as well like it wanted to follow me so the first Thing that came to my mind was maybe I could take it home and care 4 it but I didn’t know if I should pick it up or not so I just let it follow until its screamed again and I didn’t know why well I know it was still hurt but it hasn’t made a noise in the past hour until I seen something else further ahead I seen these before and there weren’t to many in my area at least 2 my knowledge because they could be very good at hiding lol it was a fox maybe as tall as my knee and it was staring straight at us or probably just staring at the rabbit and the thought came to me maybe this was the thing that attacked the rabbit and finally found it to finish it off now I was wondering what I should do because of course I dint want to see the rabbit get hurt anymore and I was kind of scared for my own self so I picked up a branch because there seemed to be many all over the area and I yelled at the fox though I knew it couldn’t understand me lol but it didn’t move just stared at me with those hungry eyes and the thing that sucked was the fox was blocking the path so its not like I could take another way and just avoid it I had to pass by the fox with the rabbit so I had courage to walk closer and closer to the fox who still hadn’t moved until I was about 10feet away that’s wen it finally moved it ran around me straight for the rabbit who screamed again its was really a horrible scream because its not one u hear at all I ran towards the rabbit as well hoping to defend it and the fox and I got there the same time and I swung the branch as if I was going to attack it which I almost did if it hadn’t stopped in time so I kicked the leaves under me in the direction of the fox and it ran away lol that was probably the last time I saw that fox when I was almost out of the path the rabbit was still behind me so I figured I would try to pick it up now because I wouldn’t have it cross the street so I took off my sweater and wrapped it around the rabbit and picked it up took it home everyone was surprised to see what I brought home and even more surprised to see it injured so my mom decided to take it to the vet to see what we could do for it and so we went and the vet fixed the foot and about 3 weeks later it seemed as if the rabbit was as good as new but it kept looking outside and I thought maybe it wanted to go back out to where it belonged I kind of didn’t want it to go because I grew close to it but I seemed not to have a choice I wondered maybe if it had a family and they where looking for him or just worried so I brought it back to the path and set it down it hopped away like we never knew each other and just as I was about to turn and leave it stood up and looked in my direction and shook its head maybe it was a thank you or something I don’t really know but I felt good for doing something nice for something else I went home with a smile on my face

I'm closer to the future than I was yesterday.
The highway of the future is in each break of day.
I frame my future by the decisions I make.
I encounter the future with every step I take.
Plans for the future I made in the past.
Today I face the future yet it won't last.
Depending on the present will determine who I will be.
Good or bad we'll just have to see!
