About me

I have been living in Hasselt all my life, it's an average city in the north of Belgium. There is not really much to do here, I mostly hang out with my friends, we do geocaches just to have a reason to drive all day. Geocaching is sort of a real life internet game, people hide boxes with some goodies and a small notebook, on the geocaching site they post the coordinates of the box and people like us go out with GPS recievers to find the caches.
If we're not geocaching we make campfires and drink beer, play board&computer games or we go to the coffeeshops of Maastricht or Amsterdam.

My work

I work for one of the big television/internet/telephone/mobile provider in Belgium, the one with the yellow square smiley as logo ;)
There I do a lot of things, more than I should but hey!
I give support on the technical side of the internet, telephone lines and mobile phone connections, and since I always work late shifts, there usually is not much work and I keep busy by doing some administration work or just randomly surfing the internet.

Why I choose the Opera browser

Since I studied webdesign about 5 years ago I started using Opera just to test my sites in other browsers than Netscape, in those days it was a good browser and I used it all the time.
But when I got more familiar with opera I loved it speed and shortcuts, nowadays I can't imagine surfing without mousegestures.
I also have a smartphone with GPRS and use the mobile opera browser all the time on it, they've put all the functions of a normal browser in a smooth mobile browser.
