Spacelog hiatus, again

, , ,

I'm taking a hiatus from spacelog. Most likely only a week. I've been busy with my new job, practical IT exam and drivers license. It's quite unusual for me to be this busy, and I got to keep my head where it's needed, and not drifting around in space.

Once I get settled into a routine again, I'll resume most of my misadventures in cyberspace. I'm still around, just not as active as the last few weeks.

Done with my first service for the Norwegian Army

, , , ...

After almost twelve months, I'm done with my first time service in the Norwegian army. This means I'll go back from being a soldier to being a civilian this Friday. I'm leaving behind a year full of hard challenges, hard work, but more importantly good experiences, good memories and good friends. I'm leaving the Norwegian signal battalion with more than when I entered, both mentally, physically and in hand luggage? left

During this year I've received praise for being someone who gives everything, achieves a lot, takes responsibility and goes where others don't. This is despite seriously bad odds when I entered in January this year. My abilities have brought me glory and fame, and among my most special achievements are the Approved Signalist medal and being the creator of the Signal Battalion's new slogan; "Without us, you'll just stand there". This is of course true. This battallion connects the Norwegian military together, and if I can't deliver together with my fellow soldiers, each department's headquarters are going to be full of people standing there, looking emptily into the air.

So this week, I'm no longer only the army's but will belong to my friends and family as a civilian. I'm leaving the army with a bit of sadness because I have to leave my new friends, and leave a fantastically rewarding lifestyle, but mostly, I'm leaving with happyness. I'll be able to spend more time on friends, and family, and maybe produce more content for you, whom are reading this. But look out, I might enter the army again sooner or later for more education. I'm finishing this article with one of the best pictures I've taken during my service in the fantastically beautiful but awefully cold northern Norway.

A new way to look at reality

, , , ...

Have a look at the place you're in. Do you see a computer or device in front of you? Are you sitting in a chair, on a bench, in a sofa or even walking? Can you feel the device you're using to read this? Reality is very much solid. We can see, smell, hear and feel it.

But what if we're wrong? What if what we can see, touch, feel, smell and hear is just an illusion? What if what we sense is just one way of looking at reality? What if reality as we see it is an illusion? Join me on a mental journey to uncover the nature of reality, with some highly hypothetical ideas that attempt to unify us with reality.
