I Fell from the Moon

Don't worry ma'am. I'm from cyberspace.

I'm totally destroying Fred's CSS

, , , , , , ,

As a result of constant learning of CSS I've managed to do some pretty nifty things with this blog. I'm not talking about the theme. I'm talking about the mods I've done to the front page.

If you're using a decent browser (anything but Internet Explorer), you should se an additional menu of links below the banner and a introduction in the sidebar. Internet Explorer users will see empty areas where there should be text.

And if you're My Opera savvy, here are the codes:

<div id="myblogintro"><a href="http://my.opera.com/drlaunch/blog/welcome#comments">Welcome. I'm just a little confused after I fell from the moon. As a result I created what 250 000 monkeys in spacesuits would do if they were given a typewriter each. But don't worry. The monkeys with spacesuits separate this blog from blogs written by regular monkeys with typewriters. Don't you agree with that? Then speak your mind in the guestbook!</a></div>

And here.

Unless you want to code some your self, Desert Theme is required for the hacks to look right.

I felt something interesting calling me back the past couple of days. I think I've found it. Great hack there. I'll give it a play some time.

cool.. i have come across with you again... this is the answer to my question about adding extra menu. drlaunch, i have renamed my menu items following what you have said in my previous question in your other blog. i hope it won't be too much to ask once again... the codes above are html right? you said that in order for me to add additional menu tabs, i need to edit the html page. well, those aren't working in the css page of myOpera. question, how can i get to my html page? i right click in my page and click source, i edited the codes and applied changes... and it did change in my page. however, after reloading my page it went back to the usual. so, where do i edit and save?

ANYONE PLEASE? I AM WILLING TO LEARN... NO WORRIES I WON'T ASK MUCH. JUST THIS. THANKS TO ALL AND HAVE A GREAT DAY AHEAD! :D

hehe^^ i think i got it now... i just need to re-arrange how it looks.

(CSS is giving me insomia... :D)

Oh, I totally forgot about this page. Just add the HTML code to a sticky blog post, or your about page.

It might look a bit odd or even wrong with some themes. You might have a bunch of work in front of you.

Why is there bacon at the end of everyone's comments?!

coxy 8. September 2009, 11:37

Oh, I see why. LOL.

drlaunch 8. September 2009, 21:57

Enjoy your bacon, coxy. You earned it. Twice. :chef:
