Knowledge is power. Therefore you don't mind to enrich you knowledge.It is also very important for you success.
As you have a good condition you should learn. For example, your major is foreign language, and major of a friend of yours is economy, instead of chatting with each other, you should invite him to go to drink something, on that occasion you can ask him about him major. you also can teach back him if he ask, so both you and him are profitable. This is also a occasion to improve relationship and relax after work or study.
So what are you waiting for?
Why don't you call a friend of yours and make an appointment with him at this weekend ?Maybe you will have the thing that is vary much more worth than sum of money you pay for drink.
I am very lucky to live at a dormitory where there are a lot of students, they study various major, that's why i can ask them about their major easily, for example when we walk to university, go to dinner...
