“The computer and electronic mail for the members of our organisation is a real possibility”, said Halina Guzowska, the spokeswoman of Polski Związek Niewidomych (Polish Organisation for The Blinds).
“The idea of E-MAIL DAY is very interesting and it will be developing. I’m glad that we can take part in that fist in the the world ceremony”, said Franciszek Wołowski from Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych SA (Polish Stocks Company SA), presenting his card with electronic signature.
“The crime groups use electonic mail and Internet more often to comunnicate, and also to commit crimes in the electronic environment. The knowledge of these fields is very important for us.”, said Sławomir Paciorek, the consulate of crimes from Biuro Doradcze RUTKOWSKI(Advisory Office RUTKOWSKI)

The guests from a final of E-MAIL DAY first edition could try special E-MAIL MENU for example tartins with a symbol of monkey, made of salmon paste.
“Today we’re conclusing the first final of E-MAIL DAY in the world! Now this cereremony will be increasing from Poland to other countries. The website www.dzien-e-mail.org, created by us, will be running constantly. We’re going to organise Special Actions there in periods between several edits of E-MAIL DAY. On 5th December, 2005, we’re going to inaugurate the action “An E-MAIL TO SANTA CLAUS”said Jerzy Sokołowski from Komitet Organizacyjny Obchodów Dnia E-MAILA (The Organising Committee of E-MAIL DAY Celebrates). Yesterday evening-on 3th December, 2005- in Warsaw Simple Cafe, the biggest internet cafe in Poland, was organised a filnal of E-MAIL DAY First Editon in Poland.

“The idea to organise E-MAIL DAY had been creating about a year, before we determined to make it real one September evening, 2005. Then I get an e-mail from my friend from abroad with suggesting to celebrate an Internet and electronic mail in a special way. “Why not?”,we said,”Let’s make an E-MAIL DAY!” First we contacted with a creator of symbol @ (polish “monkey”). It ist the most popular logo of World Wide Web potentials- the symbol of a web. We thought, that nothing could express the role of communicate in nowadays society as this symbol @ express-compared with stamp.
We get a “blessing” from “monkey” creator to organise the E-MAIL DAY in Poland and information, that similar ideas are in Germany. But we organised the celebrate faster. So that today-on 3th December 2005- we’re conclusing the first final of E-MAIL DAY in the world! Now this cereremony will be increasing from Poland to other countries.
What is going to be in the nearly future? The website www.dzien-e-mail.org, created by us, will be running constantly. We’re going to organise Special Actions there in periods between several edits of E-MAIL DAY.

“The organising of The E-MAIL DAY has been a hard defiance because of informatic reasons also. The most difficult problem was the time. Our website www.dzien-e-mail.org arose in very short time-limit- about 48 hours continous work. It was being made by 4 people, i was coordinating the work (BUT without the help from “fighters” the project wouldn’t have been finished-I thank them very much). The website lives, it will be living and developing. You can find there for example articles about e-communication, the notation of chats connected with our celebrate, where we we’re discussing about HOT TOPICS. We’re going to develope our site slowly and successive- making a kind of novum in Poland-the vortal-of e-communication-we believe, that the site for Internet Users, informing about dangers, advantages and problems, will find it’s constant place and get a sympathy from advanced and beggined users.
Our purpose is for example the bridge which connects generations, experiences, visions... Different worlds, sometimes websites which doesn’t “like” themself... Our vortal plays servile and flexible part... Which doesn’t mean the lack of viewpoint... Surely, we’re going to discuss the controverse, uncomfortable topics. But never spitefully, just to ask, search the solution, mobilise to think. It is important, that we want to teach about “understaninding”, “respect”...not about something, that we can rankle, destroy easily and unsensibly. We can only do this for unreconsidered rules, legal solutions. Greets for ALL SURFERS...
To realise the Celebrates of E-MAIL DAY, Internet users, besides of changing information, discussing on chats, could take part in a Gold Monkey Plebiscite, in which they chose the best providers, products connected with Internet, offered by WWW especially electronic mail and indispensable “spare place” to attendance, offerts from Internet Banks, auctions, providers etc. The winners of the plebiscite will get “Gold Monkeys”.
Today we didn’t announce the results purposely (3th December), because we want to give a chance of participating to more Internet Users(...). The voting should be really serious...If it shouldn’t it would be unsensible. We’re forecasting many new competitions connected with products, programming and equipment results applied in e-communication. We encourage all Internet Users to visit our website and take part in our occurences.
We’re going to magnify the base of interesting materials about the topics from e-communication, the investigations of Internet, safety and security, many interesting things about “virtual world”...

“In Polish Organisation for The Blinds are blind and short-sighted people associated. What is the role of computers and electronic mail for these people? They are their guides, tools to seize some part of lacking information, which they don’t have at all. The computer with suitable equipment guarantees them an access to the information. These computers hit the road at the beginning of 90’s. Nowadays, the purchase of specialist equipment is possible from PFRON programms, aimed at young people, which learn in schools our study in higher-schools. I encourage to use this program. We call it “A computer for Homer”.
PZN takes care of an early vindication of blinds. Nowadays, after accidents, the medicine save people’s life, but not all abilities, which person had before accident. In case of loosing eyesight very important is early intervetion and the vindicaton. People, who lost eyesight can’t find themself in a real world. The computer helps them to come into contact with the world. We also do computer courses for blinds. We are teaching children, which was born blind, using the computer. The computer and electronic mail is a real possibility for them.

Every day I’m dealing with a management of informative systems safety. During The E-MIAL DAY celebrating I was explaining all the doubts connected with a function of electronic signature.Presently, it is much better with electronic signature than it’s opponents think and not as well as it’s followers would like to see it. From August 2006 all the society have to accept the electronic signature. The Act on Electronic Signature, which was accepted, had predicted a four-yeared prepared period. 9 months later all of us will can send to goverment a missive with electronic signature and it would have to be accepted. To put a signature you need a card reader and an electronic card which include the signature.”

“At the turn of the years 1997-98 the detective agency was one of first companies, which had their own WWW adress in Poland. We’ve been using it until now. E-Mail is used to pass on information inter offices. Our main office is situated in Łódź, we also have an office in Warsaw. Now we use an electronic mail which is being sent from mobile phones. The crime groups use electonic mail and Internet more often to comunnicate, and also to commit crimes in the electronic environment. The knowledge of these fields is very important for us. To decode crimes made in electronic environment we use the service of proffesional company HD.lab from Wroclaw. Our boss (Krzysztof Rutkowski – annotaction text), unfortunately couldn’t take part in today’s final. We are very glad that we can participe in succesive editions of E-MAIL DAY.”

“I was asked for design a Gold Monkey. The project was born in 5 minutes. I was thinking, went to workroom and, while I was hanging a coat, I saw a peg. In this way was arised the Gold Monkey project- it will be made by rod of acid-steel, which is going to be wound in cabel-the mainstay, symbolising the information transfer.”
