She is pregnant;he had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire.
When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.
A photographer from the Charlotte , North Carolina newspaper, noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman.
He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do.
As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies and kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph. The KissAnd people say animals are dumb
Today Kim joined me on yet another animal rescue. Got a phone call about a Blue Jay. I thought or should I say was giving the impression that the blue jay was an adult bird. Upon arriving at the couple's home I quickly realized it was just a baby. A little more than a fledgling. He apparently had a run in with a paddle fan. Fortunately he had no broken bones. He had a very sore leg and was unable to stand not to mention the poor little guy was stressed. Went to the pet store and got some erythimyacin to help with the stress and pain the blue jay was in. He is going to make a full recovery in a few short days. He was feeling much better when Kim and I had left. I'm sure Kim will post a video that was taken so look for that over on SqueakeyCats blog. Can't seem to get away from Kim's camera. LMAO
Today I got a phone call from my son. He had caught an injured bird and didn't know what to do. As it turned out the bird was on a very busy road walking around having problems with his wings. I contacted the wildlife refuge, wrapped the bird like a burrito for safe transport. Kim held the bird until we arrived at our destination. The bird was a Neotropic Cormorant that had an old injury, which had healed, enabling the bird not to fly very well. He is being taken to a better location in the morning so he doesn't get run over by a car. Neotropic Cormorants live in tropic and subtropic area's. They are water birds and can be found near fresh water, bracken, or salt water. They dive short distances to catch fish which isn't very effective. Kim (Squeakey Cat) had a good time holding this beautiful bird.
